Greetings fresh pod pilots, if you're interested in making some lucrative ISK, perhaps you would be interested in taking on some odd jobs for yours truly.
Allow me to introduce myself, I am the CEO of Guiding Hand Social Club, a rather infamous band of miscreants for hire. Perhaps you've read about us in the September issue of PCGamer UK, more likely you've never heard of us.
If any of you should happen to be interested, send me an eve-mail or convo me if you see me online
Thanks for your time, I can answer questions here, but might not be a good idea to reply if you're interested seeing as it could compromise your cover

I understand the reluctance to go into detail here, but in general: what do-able 'jobs' can you give to newbies flying around in frigates trying to learn the trade? And why would you want newbies for the, urr.., assignments you have in mind? Speaking for myself, my motto is: no task too small, no fee too high. But would you be willing to pay more then I can get doing combat and couriermissions, and dropping into the occasional droneinfestation for some bountyhunting? And toughly in which area's are you active?

I would be able to pay you quite a considerably greater amount than you can get doing the usual things.
As to why I would prefer fresh unsullied pilots, well they're cheaper and more believable, also they tend not to have prior commitments that get in the way of getting the job done.

First of all you are asking new young in-experienced pilots to work for you.
Second of all you are asking new young in-experienced pilots to trust an Amarr.
To which I would question your motives.
The Mal'hajat are highly skilled Intaki warriors who are trained in the defensive arts of Cho'odai. |

The Guiding Hand Social Club is one of the most trustworthy corporations in EVE.
They do what they are hired to do, always. They are an honorable mercenary corporation. You may disagree with their methods, but they do not break their word.
If they did, nobody would hire them. -- Proud member of the [23].

I can agree with Vorshal here... not only are you asking those with little experience to do your dirty work, but... this borders on recruitment.
Doesn't that belong elsewhere? ________________________________________________ Everyone has the right to be ignorant, if they should so choose. But they should at least be given the choice. |

Probably does, tbh.
Though this is the only place they'll really get the newbies they need.
A mod will probably move it. -- Proud member of the [23].

The recruitment section tends to bury a new thread much more quickly as well.

The GHSC specializes in infiltrating corporations with newbies/alts, and stealing everything in the hangars once they gain trust. Respectable, roleplayed corp. theft. They provide this as a service, should anyone wish to "get revenge" and drive their enemy out of the game, or what not.

Yeah, an Amarr that recently helped blow a 30b sized hole in an Amarr slaver corporation. Not all things are black and white. Also I'm Ni-Kunni thanks.
As to trusting me, I'd be doing a lot more trusting than anyone I should choose to hire, not really all that much trust required on the part of the recruits.

I don't know about that, our most successful job to date was concluded without the use of newbies OR alts. (well not in any relevant role anyways)
We specialize in information, death, destruction and entertainment of the hilariously wealthy.
At any rate it isn't simply, get access to valuables, run away with. That wouldn't be particularly stylish, or elegant.

Edited by: Dresspink Orudie on 05/10/2005 02:42:08 Mate, this isn't the recruitment part of the forum so take it elsewhere.
I'm not sure why the mods haven't said anything already, they have done to all other corps trying to pull a thread like this here.
Also, let me put out a warning to all new players that are considering taking up EVE employment with these nutters. They might be good at what they do and they get a lot of praise from the player community. They've also probably made several people stop playing the game
Psychopathic ****ers imho that should have the whole gaming community turn their backs on them. PLEASE SOMEBODY MOVE THIS THREAD TO RECRUITMENT AND GET IT BURIED OR DELETE IT ALL TOGETHER!

This isn't recruitment, nor does it seem like hes asking the new players to do anything overly difficult. It just seems like they are offering new players, who are looking to go into a life like the people of GHSC live, a chance to experience how it is done, to get them started in EVE, and to try a different way of earning the ISK than the usual mining and mission running.
Nothing wrong with that IMO.

Quite accurate. All we're really asking, is for people to go about their normal lives, and maybe let us take a peek through their eyes to see what they see from time to time, earning some good money in the process.

Agree with the GHSC posters in this respect. Although you are posting under "EVE New Citizens Q&A"
I'm not entirely sure if this thread answers any question except, maybe, possible... where can I make a bit of ISK by turning on my corp mates

I don't know, you're on the gh-sc side from the beginning in this case, so not really a Judas, you're making a lot of ISK by turning on people you haven't met yet, future corpmates if you will.

Edited by: Edidid on 06/10/2005 06:18:42 Edited by: Edidid on 06/10/2005 06:15:32 I consider this out of place also, it is recruitment not new player info. Even if you don't consider this recruitment it is not:
EVE New Citizens Q&A A forum for visitors and new citizens to ask questions and find basic information regarding EVE.
Although i do understand the recruitment forum being flooded compared to this forum, and that this is a target audience. I don't believe this was done in a proper way. Though you may want to suggest a branching of the new player forum into a few areas for better use by the population. Such as: recruiting, technical questions, new player general, and guided explanations. Just a thought.

Maybe you should apply to be a forum mod.
Or better yet mail them about this thread if you feel strongly enough to post about it.

Calmed and collected version of my response:
1. It might not be a recruitment thread in the traditional sense because you're not actually asking people to join your corp. But since your business strategy depends on 'associating yourselves' with unsullied new players - that can NOT hav any relation to GHSC because that would spoil the business occasion - it IS a recruitment thread. You're just not recruiting members, rather you're recruiting associated players, in a business agreement. Which makes this thread belong somewhere else.
2. It's a Q&A boys. You're out of place for that simple reason. |
