I just recently bought a new card and i seem to be getting freezes lock ups through my system while eve is running and this causes me to reboot i was wondering if anyone else might be having these problems with the FX series it also seems to be making me CTD alot sometimes i also think this might be due to the card.
But without any other proof i can't really make a BR either.

im running a GF FX 5600 myself, a gainward, no problems. make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers from nivida.com for your card. disable the nvidia driver help service in XP/2k by going to control panel/administive tools/services and disabling it there.

Thanks for that looks like its just CCP's **** coding 8 CTD's 2 freezes 5 node deaths.
I expect better than a beta.

I am also having problems having just installed an fx5600 ultra. I have latest drivers / dx9 and i have also tried reinstalling eve, deleting prefs.ini and all the other tricks i know but every time i start eve the splash graphic appears and then the game hangs before even displaying the EULA.
any clues ?

I've now tried the card with 3 different driver versions each with a clean eve install.
45.23
44.03
43.45 (the ccp recommended one)
none of them work. neither do fresh DX9 installs.

Ok quick fix is to run audio=0 in your prefs.ini

Was there anymore on this issue? I have a 5600 as well, had the exact same problem as Fitzeh, though I couldnt figure it out at the time and I gave up on EVE, shameful I know *pout*
The release of EXODUS has entice dme back in but wondering if this problem will still happen again or not, and if anyone else had experienced it and if there was any other fix than what Fitzeh suggested? (waits patiently for the servers to come back online to test)
