Right now the general tablets (non Surface, that;s a Quad) use Dual core 1.6-1.8 GHz processors and mixed GPU's.
I have ZERO general expectations as far as "running the whole game" but was curious if they would let the game boot at all and at least allow changing skills, doing very basic station related stuff, heck, allowing an ALT to call up market info in another system , that sorta thing.
Eventually most tablets will I guess, it's just that I just passed a mid level Android tablet to a friend to use, and if I end up getting a new replacement I wanted to get it to do more then the previous one.
Thanks for any reply.
I suddenly woke up thinking I had a nightmare, then remembered I can't even fly Amarr Battleships. I add bits to this when I'm bored https://www.dropbox.com/s/foijsawsqolarom/EVE_Online.html |

The only way I've seen it done is by using an application to remotely login to your computer, running EVE on the PC but using the Tablet as your input device. |

EVE runs just fine on a surface pro. But with windows RT (as with iOS and android) you are limited to use apps like splashtop to remote control a computer. |

Not a tablet, but there's a 20" touchscreen AIO from Sony that looks capable, as its stand can be folded and used on your lap. I was hunting for something that could possibly run full Total War games but right now the capability and cost of some of these machines look prohibitive. Best part of a thousand bah. Some I looked at still used hard drives instead of SSD, disappointing at that price point. |

If you buy a tablet which is capable of running the real Windows 8 (not the RT version) you may start EVE on it (depending how good the graphics hardware and the drivers are...). |

As someone else said the Surface Pro will run it, however the pen does not function well with it, and it is kinda a pain to use the menus on the Pro. However, there is also the Razor Edge gaming tablet which should run it as well since it is more geared for gaming on a Win 8 Tablet.

I used to do skill changes etc. on a "netbook". (Doesn't work any more, too heavy.) So, the tablets with more muscle under the hood should work fine, at least on low graphics settings. On lower-end tablets, there may be several issues, including cache disk usage (though the rewriteability of solid-state mass memory has become a lot better), and of course, at least on my desktop, EVE tends to take quite a bit of disk space, so you need to have enough and/or keep wiping unnecessary stored files.
Typing will probably be an issue, as may be mouse usage (EVE using a lot of the right-click). Both are of course fixable with bluetooth peripherals, but then again, that setup is approaching fast a full-blown laptop computer. |

I can run eve on a Samsung Slate
Specs here:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Series-XE700T1A-A02US-11-6-Inch-Premium/dp/B006KYY1AU/ref=sr_sp-atf_title_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367848586&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+slate+tablet
I can't really get it to run on max settings but that is not really surprising for a tablet. I get about 20 -25 FPS outside of Jita station on it running on medium graphics settings. 30 - 40 on low settings outside jita station. it was actually very surprising that I could play on it, as in actually play and not login simply to change skills.
The Slate I would quality it as a higher end tablet, mostly due to its price tag but if you have the opportunity to get your hands on one, its a great tablet. |

I just got the Razer Edge. It can run Eve, even looks pretty. But I can barely get anything to work since you have to touch-click almost everything in Eve. Still have a few days, but I'll probably send it back if I can't work that out. Thinking maybe a stylus might make it work better. |
