Now, this has overall been a crappy EVE day. I've got about 5 CTDs (average/day: 0.2?), I've gotten stuck modules about 5 times, my friend got a BSOD every time I (we) crashed to desktop, which was about TEN TIMES for him. Anyway, it seems my modules are getting stuck online for some unknown reason. I warped into a roid belt, activated my MWD (had to travel more than 30 km into optimal range), when I was about to stop the MWD I noticed I couldn't... so I warped out and relogged, which fixed the problem. Later on, this happened to my shieldbooster. Sigh, relog. Again, with the MWD. And again... You get the point.
Has anyone else experienced this? BTW - it also seems, setting a module to autorepeat, activating it, setting it manual (while running), and clicking it doesn't deactivate it. It has to be autorepeat to deactivate it even if it's already running like that... Which is not my problem, because all my midslots are always on autorepeat.

I have had this same problem.
Mainly on TQ though

This happens to my afterburner all the time.
I can't wait for it to happen to my MWD while I'm fighting pirates in low security space.
EVE has been getting real bad lately. Before it was okay. I had no CTDs, even though everyone else complained of them constantly. But after last patch, I'd rather not leave the station.

I'm usually quite fortunate when it comes to CTD's. I rarely ever get them (don't hurt me .)
However, yesterday there was a period of a few hours where I was caught in a CTD storm and almost lost my ship while in a CTD induced logged off state. I've NEVER experienced modules being stuck on... until yesterday. AB's, Smartbombs, shield booster... couldn't turn them off and they drained my cap (almost killing me once again .)
Fortunately, between the zero cap and CTD's, I was able to warp to safety. Others might not be so fortunate

Bug hunters, devs, anyone... Is there anything we can do to help? I'm getting really tired of this. I ran into a swarm of 50k pirates and had to kill them at really close range since my MWD got stuck online.

Been there, done that...Damn near died because my shield booster got stuck to on and drained my cap replenshing full strength shields and leaving me dry when I did need to actually replenish them.

Clear your cache periodically. It will solve your problem.

*ehm* No... showed Eve to a friend of mine yesterday, let him create a character and do Tutorial/Agent missions.
Naturally the Tutorial got stuck at the 'scoop drone' point. And after accepting the first Agent mission we suffered 5 CTD's, 2 reboots in under 10 minutes.
Odd thing is that this was with a Caldarie and while playing Minmatar in the morning and Gallante in the afternoon I suffered (almost) no CTD's.

I dont know if this is the _only_ way it happens, but its _a_ way, so be careful with this:
The "module being stuck on" - problem happens when you have it on autorepeat and something happens to your gang window, like when someone joins.
To avoid your modules being stuck on: turn them off before you invite someone to your gang.

Modules being stuck is old and gold bug. I reporting that bug now for three months from beta.
Regarding to part of tutorial with scooping train drone in drone bay. It's prime example of shortsighting from developers. They did increase volume for all drones but no one did care to check starting ships and increase drone cargo capacity as well.
So actually no new player can finish tutorial mission because simply theirs ships can't scoop drone in to small drone bay :)

Run the logger while playing when this is happening. A log when this is happening would be very helpful. I've tried to reproduce it and am unable to. Send it to [email protected] with a note on what it is relevant to.
I've just fixed the change to manual after activating on autorepeat bug mentioned in the initial post. -- Richard CCP Programmer. Anything said above is not the official line, but my own take or opinion. |

A similar problem with missile launchers has been around since day one. It is kind of a hassle when the only way you can stop your H50 from firing all 50 missiles (long after the last pirate is dead) is to relog.

The missile launcher is easy to fix (at least for me). If it wont stop firing then remove the ammo. I just drag it to cargo. then reload. its a pain but doesn't require relogging.
