This is starting to get really annoying, twice now within 30min. It only start with this patch for me but people have said it happened to them before but running in windowed mode will cause my computer to reboot, perhaps if I was in fullscreen this might just be a crash to the desktop, who knows, its getting really fustrating to pay 13 bucks a month to play, and then i cant play because there is so many dam things wrong... who the heck wants a retail beta!!
Not to mention the stalled warp bug where u sit there at maybe 5m/s for 5min caused my cruiser to blow up buy a nice set of pirates.
And it cant be normal for 2 pirates to showup conviently when you kill 1 of them, some kind of looping bug they never stop.
ARG!

A new one, Eve crashing to the desktop after running long periods, its an improvement over the rebooting i suppose

To stop the reboots, this worked for me. Go to Control Panel/Sounds and Devices/Audio/Default Device/[Advanced Button] and set the hardware acceleration slider all the way to the left. This stopped the rebooting, though sometimes the sound gets a bit weird. I think they know what the problem is, i.e. some sampled sounds crashing the internal sound card and they may fix it soon.
Thanks Marduk

I'm suffering from the same issue as well, when people get a ctd due to a server node or something going offline i also get a blue screen followed by my machinre rebooting.

Will that fix apply to the problems i'm having?

It doesn't require a 12 channel sound card, it requires 12 software channels. Not the same thing.

I've same restarts on both my home computers. It starts after last patch. Because both computers have diferent HW (including video card ATI vs nVidia) and still keep crashing after server disconnect. FYI: server disconnect is more often now as before.
On oposite side I've two computers in office and they never crash may be because I have no server disconnect from office. I play off peak hours from office so server load is under 2K players. In office I does have switch off audio too.
There could be two reasons for crash client lead to computer restart:
1) client lost connection related 2) client lost connection + sound related
I personaly bet on 1st.
