Edited by: thedragoon on 09/10/2005 06:19:29 5 Burn Eden pilots Were camped in Ascendant space for 32 hours with an ave of 40 pilots at the other side of the gate, with 5 medium warp bubbles.
Burn eden polots were playing poker online when the call from our covert ops pilot came in that ascendant forces were being engaged by a small force of 2 bs's, the 3 BE pilots that were on watch activated there ships and warped to the camped gate ready to jump through. what followed could not have been expected, Assendant after losing an avg of 35 bs's worth of isk per hour in the 32 hour camp then lost over 61 ships in the engagement to the 3 BE pilots. while BE lost no pilots.
this post is respect to assendant for bringing there ships to slaughter KEEP UP THE GOOD CAMPING WORK and PLEASE CAMP US IN AGAIN!!! WE WILL BE BACK AFTER RESUPPLYING OUR AMMO !!!

OK, well we want to hear more just out of curiosity.
What system?
What ships did they lose?
Did they attack in waves or just odd groups?
Did you pod them?
Did you recycle any good loot?
How did you work around the sentry guns?
Was it war declare or just low sec?

He said there were bubbles up and it was in Ascendant space, so safe to assume 0.0.

The only real tragedy here is that you edited that post 3 times, and it still came across like that.
Have fun in the South boys and girls.

I guess what I don't understand is the phrase 'the camped gate'. I just assumed that one gate was in non-low sec space and the other gate was in low sec.
So then I guess what the poster is saying that EACH side of the gate were 0.0, so in other words 2 fleets sat in 0.0 in neighboring systems and then just kept warping back and forth or just kept sitting there until one made a move?

Thedragoon = FragM.
But yes, After refusing to fight us despite outnumbering us 5:1, ascn set up this camp in ZID (at the very bottom of the map. Thus blockading us in a one-way system.
A couple of us even got up early at DT to try and get out but ASCN logged on at the same time as us.
A plan was hatched and a mini-fleet left Keberz to make the 50 jump journey at full speed. One hour later they arrived. The 2 bs that was there started sniping all the ASCN ships that were in the bubble. One by one they popped. It would appear some were even afk. Then They started shooting the ASCN ships that were on the gate. When they were getting hit, these ships would jump thru. Unfortuantly BE ravens were on the otherside to kill them ALL
Af the dust settled, 8 ASCN bs were killed and a whole heap of supposrt ships. Our side lost 1 incurus. We got all the loot and popped all 7 of their medium bubbles.
This after 32 hours of constant gate camping.
Was it worth it?
disclaimer: no stabs were used in the ownage of this alliance.

Ok i'm not speaking in the name of ascn even tho i am a member : please forget that for a while.
I passed that gatecamp and i know for a fact that there were many more ships than just 8 bses.
I wasn't there when the attack started but it seems very very unlikely that 2 bses and an incursus would be able to blow that all up. I mean common sniping bses 1 by 1 while nothing reacted...
Sounds to me like you're one of those guys that caught a 1 inch fish while fishing and claims to have his leg bitten off by a great white while clearly he still has 2 legs and a strong liquer smell.

Bear in mind alot of these ships were off the gate but still in the bubbles. They were setup for close range and the 2 sniping ships popped many of them. The 6 that made it through the gate were killed by 3 of us on the other side.
One or two bs escaped since they were sitting in sniping spots out of the bubble. Many of the frigs and cruisers did the same, but they all decided it would be a good idea to come back and they got caught in their own bubbles and popped.
The camp at its peak consisted of 40 ppl, but when we faught them off it only had 15.

Sorry guys cant resist to reply to this post...But someone wants the truth...This is my personal vision of what happened and i speak for myself and my corp.
Kinda makes me sad that we lost some ships, oh well, but its the big picture here. Burn Eden with 5 ew/long range ravens, HAC, frig or 2, and a covert came into our space lookin for ganks, we eventally trapped them in a dead end system and proceeded to put up at least 6 medium bubbles around the gate in the next system, guarded by at least 10-40 ships at all times for over 30 hours. We dont like spacetrash who think they can come prancing through our regions lookin for ganks, especially pathetic smacktalkin ones. Throughout this ordeal BE would log on occasionally to check the scene and smacktalk like 15 yr olds,(got plenty-o-logs) when that didnt work, they exposed several TS spys and hacked our server with childish banter and eve music with a multitude of alts. Im sorry Burn Eden but you've lost any shred of respect we had for you.

sooo .. GJ Burn Eden ?
After reading both sidesreplies I`ve understood that Burn Eden came for cheap ganks and get expensive ones.
I feel ASCN pain of camping the gate for 30 hours - it is really boring and many were probably AFK.

I was under the distinc impression that we were already 15-year old noobs thats nobody respected. Anything we do isn't gonna make a difference, so who cares.
We saw a blob in ZID and came looking for a fight. You guys refused despite outnumbering us 5:1. Many ppl have tried to "contain" us in the past (I'm looking at you SURPM) but in the end they always end up loosing even more ships.
Against out 5 ravens and hac, you guys had 17 bs, 8 cruiser/hac and 12 frigs. Yet you refused to fight us? You lost any shred of respect... wait a minute. We never had any respect for you.
If you want to fight us, do so. If not, then we will continue ganking your miners.

Sorry... Couldn't resist.. :)
After they got themselves trapped in 2-r, we thought of several ruses to try and get them to fight in the open. They're EW hit and run anyway, so it wasn't likely. They kept warping to the station to try and get the occasional straggler undocking (that seems more their style) and we warped in on them a couple of times.. They warped and logged. In fact in the first 8 hours of the blockade they had opportunity for open battle about 3 times including the first few minutes when we were in 2-R at the gate. They refused to take it every time. Logic dictates that if they'd wanted a toe to toe, they could have joined us in the bubbles at any time. Eventually it seems they had some help to escape... Without that.. they'd still be in there now, hiding while we deployed more and more scanner probes.
As it is, we lost some ships and learned a few things. I think they learned a few things too. We'll see who learned the most.
