Perhaps my style of fighting is as archaic as mounted cavalry, we have now put the days of blob wars behind us, but I would honestly take a blob war over POS wars any day. I'm sure anyone (Bob, Five, RED, Stain(s) etc) would admit in their heart of hearts that 0.0 in Eve was far more fun a year ago than it is now, let alone in the truely old days Quote:

nr.1: the upcoming defence upgrades might go along way to bring fighting to the lvl it once was, when ships lasted, primarys did not travel 20-40 jumps with equipment that took a week to gathter and get blown up in 4 secs...
nr.2 Dump the conquerable stations out of the game in their entirity
replace them with npc stations and add npc stations to all that space that currently holds no value all over 0.0 cause everybody needs stations and nobody will stay or inhabit space that doesnt have stations around
This will enable ppl to place poses if they want to yes, and do whatever they wish with them and or attack them, but wont affect pvp in such a way that rivals are fighting by placing poses up and getting some sovereignity 24/7, instead it would be more focused on presence of corps, fleets, gangs etc...
this will also enable ppl to place outposts if they like or can depending on how strong a group they are and how strong a group their enemy is, again dependant on presence of said entities
i.e.. in short, dump this whole player corp sovereignity crap asap, so that ppl stop thinking about stations and sovereignity and poses and get back to good old fighting each other with all they got, which quality will be dependant on issue nr.1

We are claiming systems and capture stations not for the sake of massive regional controling (we don't need them) but for the sake of stopping some marasmatical idiots from [5] flooding the official forum about theirs "ownage playing style" and the misirability of russian players and RA at all. All the sh.... you wrote on us for this couple of month could be enough to start a World War 3.

The Giant Secure Containers are easily shot up. And, it have been petitionable earlier IF you stay ready to deploy, and someone blockes the good moon in system.
Now can HP's are reduced, and they can easily be shot. I don't think that deployment of those are any worse .. or better .. than dropping the 10 towers.
Beside, 3 Giant Sec Cans, in a system with 60 moons. That is 540 000 m3. The effort it takes to place them in 0.0 space, can hardly be called an exploit.

Corak, Corak, Corak...If you take a closer look you will see that there are more posting about stupidity of puting POS just before DT then about RA.
Offcourse if RA are in time zone that enable them to put those just before DT while others are on work...well, RA will be mention too.
I said in one of mine previous post i dont know about past and who start this....but i doubt Atuk or any other corp put POS0s up just before DT..
AND PUTING POS's UP JUST BEFORE DT IS MAIN SUBJECT....NOT RA

IMHO..most 5 members prefer PvP then anything else...offcourse.
That doesnt mean that they dont do (or sometimes even like ) other things. My corp and I trying to fight against this POS war with not only PvP.
And i enjoy logistic sometimes couse i can drink a beer and smoke ciggarete in peace without messing something up .
Its just that some stuff (puting POs right before DT) that CANT be beaten with normal effort.

Maybe the reason they can do that is that trying to hold 7,8 regions is just too much for one alliance.
If you had only like 1 or 2 regions, but kept good control over them and actually lived there, they couldn't do that to you.
It's just like in ancient rome, at the outskirts of the empire the barbarians can do as they please, build outpousts etc. cause it's gonna take time til the army of rome get's to know about it, move there and destroy it.
The space 5 is trying to control is too big. Face it. IMO that is the problem. You cannot expect to keep a region when all you want to do is rush there only when it's under attack, but not really live there.
I highly doubt that anyone could put up that many posses in a system where people actually live (like e.g. in G space, IRON space, PA space).
Concentrate on 2 regions, and you can defend and hold them well.
With 6+ regions, no way.
