Hi
I am in a postion to fly both ships and only have enough isk for one or the other. My question is which is a better alrounder for pvp and pve. I know the scorp primary role is for jamming which makes it a good pvp ship but not sure if its any good a dealing dmg.

Scorp doesnt do a whole lot more, if anymore damage than your average cruiser, for pvp its very nice but be prepared to be the first target called, everyone shoots the EW ships first.
For overall, allround pve and pvp use you cant realy beat a Domi, they can do pretty much everything.
PVE their are numerous ways to do it tbh, 350mm rails up top, tank, drones etc, shield or armour tank works as well.
PVP its a realy underestimated ship, well it was but most ppl are getting wise to them being quite a threat, can fit for EW in a Domi as well if you wish and fit a decent tank, my personal favourite Domi pvp set up is all heavy Nos's up top, web, warp jammer all that kinda jaz in the middles and tank in lows, use your heavy drone buddys to do the damage for you while you drain all the cap so they cant tank, very nasty set up and quite hard to counter

If you fly a Jamming Scorp in PVP you will be targetted first almost every time. In a Domi, you won't.

Dominix is a strong contender for the best alround Battle Ship in the game.

Dominix is very good for gate camping. Best 1v1 bs, and also gives you that extra little edge when someone tries to warp his pod out, and notices there is a ****load of drones causing lagg.

If it's your first BS you'll probably want to NPC first then when you have enough cash PVP.
Your question should be a Dominix or a Raven? I use my Scorpion for PVP 1v1, it just doesn't compare to my Raven for PVE or any other T1 BS for that matter!
So since I've never flown a Dominix all I can say is forget the Scorpion right now if you can't save up for a Raven then take the Dominix since as far as I know you can easily do lvl 3s in it and with skills lvl 4s, and it's not a slouch in PVP either.

Dunno, Nos ships get kinda owned by jamming. Can't lock, no cap, die before the drones kill the raven.

Domi is almost always targetted last in fleet battles, which I think makes it a nice-ish EW platform (5 tracking disruptors can be fun)
