I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of this, but how come CCP hasn't started selling models of the ships... not all of them, but who wouldn't want a couple of their race's battleships up on their wall... or their favorite cruiser... I realize that there are just WAY too many ships to create models of them all, but pick the popular ones (ie:: all battleships, the Thorax, the Ferox, whatever the Amarr BC is called) and make those... hell, you could just stick to the battleships for now and see what gets requested the most afterwards... but I for one would love to see a Megathron, Brutix, and Thorax all side by side next to my computer!!!!!
I'm not really asking for many comments... I just figure that if enough people say they'd buy em... maybe CCP (or somebody else that can, for that matter) will start to sell them...

Well, if you want it, just do it. Purchase a licence from CCP, go to China or some other country like that, have 1.000 of each made for 2.50 USD each and sell them here for 29.95 USD.
As easy as that.

The dreadnought models would be cool to have.... Although a 1/10000 replica of the nafalgar could probably be used as a weapon with the # of spikes it has.

Even though I don't play eve regularly anymore, I would be among the first in line to buy ship models if reasonably.
I'm of the mindset that if they are cheap, I'd get a whole fleet, and if reasonably priced, at least one of all my favorite ship models (Thorax, Tristan, Atron/Taranis, and Incursis would be where I'd start).
Seriously CCP I been dreaming about Eve model kits since I first saw the screenshots of the EVE ships back when Pann was handing out prerelease meds.

I seem to recall a long time ago CCP was experimenting with a 3D 'printer' that was creating real life models. Don't know what ever became of that.

They are building them (well, some of the most popular), but they are only to scale within each class which is a bit of a shame if you want to recreate a diorama, but quite understandable when you realise that a frigate is SO damn tiny compared to a BS.
