Hello, I am just getting into pvp and I have been using my hurricane a lot. It has been shield/ nano fitted most of the time but I got tired of it because I noticed it couldnt take much heat. So I was wondering if someone could give me a hurricane passive armor pvp fit for solo work. |

This fit works quite well for me, it pumps out quite a lot of DPS and will mess up pretty much any thing that gets in its path. The double webs will quickly kill any frigate that is dumb enough to get in range as well. It is kind of slow (as with any armor ship) so keep that in mind when your engaging stuff. The CPU is a bit tight so you need Weapon Upgrades 5 and Electronics 5 to make it work, however you can switch a web out for a sensor booster which will give you more cpu leeway. Also the Heavy Assault Launchers can be exchanged with two medium neuts, however I like the extra DPS the launchers give.

Good day:
I don't recommend having any cruiser on up without neuts unless you want to die to frigates.
The 220's have better tracking than the 425's... but if you have medium neuts and 425's along with solid turret control skills, frigates die fast. A few months back, five frigates (including t2 and faction) thought they would make short work of my nano, shield cane and all ended up dying (why they all stayed until the end, I don't know as I could only point one at a time).
Thank you.

That's true but your webbing power makes up for the lack of neuts, and even if the frigs are keeping a tight orbit on you your HAMS can still hit them and your combat drones will rip them up. 220s also have decent tracking so they may be able to hit the smaller ships when they are webbed down (i haven't tested it yet against a close orbit frigate). The idea with the 220s/ham fit is that it can put out as much dps as a shield gank cane but still have webbing power and a better tank. |

don't sacrifice neutralizer size for 425s. you need mediums if you're going that route. they're not just for frigs. small neuts on a BC are a joke.

I personally preffer the nano shield AC cane (pretty much the one Mara linked), however with proper skills you can fit t2 neuts without any fitting problems.
If you would be in a gang with logistics you want to swap the 2nd LSE for an invuln though.
If you are running solo you will have alot more use of the faster and more agile nano cane than a slow armor one when choosing your engagements. |

EDIT: What is the difference between 220mms and 425mms?
I normally run with 220s. But yesterday i tried 425 instead and the difference is more damage but worse tracking. With 220's you oneshot a pod while the 425's is more embarrasing

Good day:
Once you get the elite certificate in gunnery turret control skills, and use the right ammo and approximate range, the 425's provide more damage without too many tracking issues.
I still remember my hurricane being jumped by five frigate pilots who got bored with null sec and came into the Vard / Ezzara pipe looking for a fight. Five frigates dead via 425's with no problems at all with tracking.
Though you are correct, that a pod does take longer to kill with 425's vs. 220's. Then again, I don't worry about pods shooting up my ship ;-)
Thank you.

You would die to a properly fit vengeance or any frigate that can tank your drones long enough to kill them.
