Edited by: Manderion on 12/10/2005 11:41:24 I know and understand that being able to send drones from the cargo hold to the drone hold virtually creates an unlimited drone hold. But at times you'd want to be able to do just that, send a drone from the cargo hold to the drone hold.
So, how about this; You right-click on a drone in the cargo hold and chose 'Send to drone bay'. Then a timer starts and let's say it takes 2 minutes, maybe even more, to move it to the drone hold, this way you could still replenish your drone hold from the cargo hold, which would be quite a reasonable thing to do, but you wouldn't be able to take advantage of it during a fight.
I'd also like the option to send a drone from the drone hold to the cargo hold using the same procedure.
EDIT: Adding; There should be a rule to this I forgot to type, you still shouldn't be able to have more drone m3 out than your drone hold capacity m3.

/signed. I think I made the same exact suggestion somewhere else, the timer and all after moving 1 donres, like a jettison can timer. _________________________________________

It is I feel a very sensible sugestion, after all ammo is moved from the cargo hold to the turrets so why not the drones.

Oh, and also, like so many times it has been suggested before, please let us see the damage of the drones in the drone hold.

Its highly unlikly that they would IMO. ------ Anyway, *Bump*. And I agree this is a good idea... mainly for the many systems with out station.
For instance, ever find yourself in combat in something like a Vexor in a system with no stations when you have to warp away quickly? You lose your drones with no way to get your main weapon (Drones) online.

I agree two even if u launch them from the cargo hold, after all u can jet from the cargo hold in to space, so there must be away to get things out of the hold and to space.
This could open up the posilbity of useing drones in the cargo hold,
Ie you have the skills to use 9 drones, but the drone bay only takes 4 you could put the other 5 in the hold and launch them from there, but you would then have to manuilally fly round and pick them up.

Three things you might not have thought about for this, first of all you could have a module which activates drones and sets them up in the drone bay from the cargo bay. This could present some interesting combinations as you could have the same module be capable of repairing drones but only in your cargo bay.
Secondly you should only be able to activate drones from your cargo bay into your drone bay if they are already assembled, which can only be done in stations.
Lastly what if there was a skill which allowed you to assemble things without the need for a station?

It does seem rather strange that drones are the only ammunition that u cannot reload in space. TotensBurntCorpse Likes EVE, Starfleet Command Series, Earth & Beyond, Anything Battlefield, MOHAA, Call of Duty.
