Thought I might be nice today and release my route planner for everyone to use. Get it here.
It can plot routes between systems using stargates or jump drives, list the systems within (n) jumps of a start point, and attempt to provide an optimised gate & jump route to minimise stargate jumps, jumpdrive jumps, and lightyears to travel. You can also finetune what sec status systems you want to enter, e.g. to limit the routes to 0.0 (or empire) only.
Now the question is, who shall return my generous favour by donating lots of isk?
The only bit I'm still not clear about is whether dreadnoughts can jump into 0.4 or not. Can anyone say for certain if this is the case?

Cool.
Looks like someone's messing around with our website though, so don't be too surprised if the download link isn't working

They can NOT jump into a .4 I have tried it with my revelation. you simply cannot activate the cynosural field in a .4 i know i've tried it. |

Nice work, very handy.
I'm always a bit wary of downloadable tools, but I had quick look through (it's .NET stuff) and didn't see any obvious password stealing or anything (no guarantees to anyone else tho ) _

OK, it appears that you can enter /some/ 0.4 systems, but not others. I'll have a play around with a cyno generator and see how it works.

Edited by: Darmed Khan on 06/11/2005 01:25:21 v1.2.0.0 released, which should hopefully solve the issue of jumping into 0.4 systems. It will also attempt to calculate the fuel cost for a route, but I'm not sure if EVE is using the correct formula

Yes, if anyone is worried about trojans/etc. then they can support the opposition instead

Hi. With the new changes on the test server, i beleive the new base jump range is 6 lightyears. Your calulator, while you can enter the light years manually, still only supports going up to like 5.6 with calibration 5. Is there anyway you can increase the amount of lightyears that work? With jump calibration 4 you should be able to jump 12 lightyears, right? I tried typing in 6- 20 lightyears and the calculator still used the 5.6.

Edited by: Darmed Khan on 14/12/2005 02:06:59 I've just uploaded the new RMR version, with support for the different jumpdrive ranges (3.5LY titan, 4LY mothership, 5LY dreadnought, 6.5LY carrier). Plus CCP have fixed the bug that was stopping cynosural fields being opened in some 0.4 systems
Sorry about not replying to your post Arctic - threads can vanish quite quickly from the first few pages of this forum

When was the last time you checked the date on a post? Necro!
At any rate, search for "RDB". There was both it and a competitor listed in that thread, IIRC.
