So it doesn't matter that you purchase it in a different currency because you are being charged the same amount regardless, based upon whatever source of currency trade values CCP's system takes it from.

Since my national currency is not supported and has a way different base value I have to buy foreign currency and then buy the product. if a say I bought the collectors edition for 150 norwegian kroner instead of 150$ that would effectivly give me a price of about 26$.
to put it plain if an american excanged 1$ he would get 6.84 norwegian crowns or seven since the lowest coin is 1 kroner
though I found that there was not really a problem at all, I could just change the currency I wanted to shop in at the top right corner, *facepalm |

As an Australian...
The Collectors edition stated price on EVE store is 149.99 EURO, not including delivery.
But once you go to the checkout the breakdown is as follows;
126.04 EURO for the Collectors Edition
+
19.20 EURO for delivery
Total of 145.24 EURO (less than the RRP?), this equates to ~$189.15 AUD.
By local standards this price is fairly high for a collectors edition, compared to other recent games where we pay anywhere from $60 - $120 AUD normally.
That said, I still bought one, and I am happy I did, I don't want to be one of those people wishing I had purchased one after they all run out.
I'll be a very happy lad once mine arrives in the post  |
