I have some consumer goods that I cannot find a place to sell for a reasonable price.
I only see the NPC sellers and people buying at low prices but no NPC buying.
Is it normal for the NPCs to not buy (haven't seen any for 4 days) even after downtime for this long?. Are they selling to people's unseen sell bids?
I am curious as I have never seen a problem like this before..i.e. I could always search a bunch of diff regions at diff times and eventually find decent prices.
Appreciate any advice...as I must be missing something really obvious here...lol

Look in the Item Database. Find the commodity that you want to sell, click the NPC tab, then you'll see what NPC corps are buying that item.
You can carry on and click through the corp info and its agents to find what systems they are in, but it's probably easier to look the corporations up in the in-game People & Places, then check "settled systems".
Don't forget to check legality :-)

thanks Danii I will try that when I get home.
I am just surprised that there are no NPC buyers showing up, only sellers.
Is the strategy to put sell orders into these corporation's stations and just wait for the "respawning" of corp buy orders at downtime etc?
I used to be able to scout out buy ordrs and fly there but now I see nothing.

I had a weird one the other day. Although my cargo was not illegal in the system I was in, the only station in the system considered it an illegal good and refused to buy it. Even though there was a demand.

There was something on the forums about the same thing...spirits or wine at a station in Amarr or something.
The station had a buy order but then said it was illegal..I think it was a bug.

Yeah Spirits.
Ducia (sp?) has stations throughout Caldari space, but they are an Amarrian company. So although there are no Amarrian customs agents, the stations don't buy the goods, but they do have a hefty demand.

Yes, you are :-)
Not all Trade Goods are bought and sold in all Regions. For example, only one small Corp Buys Consumer Electronics in the Federation. If you have some there, you'll have to ship them a long distance to Sell.
I'll leave you to work out what the traders Buying at low prices are doing. Obviously someone is Selling to them as otherwise they wouldn't be putting Orders up would they.
