Edited by: Eddie Elch on 15/10/2005 07:18:18 I'm doing a lot of hauling lately. Mainly ore. I've got the badger 2 set up with 3 cargo expanders giving me 9k M3 (roughly). That's pretty cool, but it seems to be the ceiling... Isn't there anything that can take more than 9k M3? ---------------------------------------------- Life - Don't tell me about Life - Marvin |

Gallente are the primary marketeers so look to their ships for cargo capability.
Iteron Mark V = 6000m3 base
with skills to 5 = 7500 m3
With skills to 5 and 5 cargo expanders = 14250m3 ------------

Edited by: Stephen HB on 15/10/2005 07:39:47 There are 4 ways to increase your hauling space.
1. Larger ship. A Badger 2 is the limit for T1 Caldari, its limited low slots mean about 10k is the limit. IIRC the largest T1 ships are the Iteron V, Mammoth and Bestower (with 4 named expanders, my Bestower can take almost 12k). The largest T2 is the Amarr transport, the Impel. It's 7(?) lowslots let you fit lots of expanders.
2. Cargo expanders. Until T2 expanders become commonplace, this will be the most expensive way. Local hulls are ferociously expensive (40M or so for 27.44%), but expander Is are fairly cheap.
3. Train up your industrial skill, gives 5% to cargo space/level.
4. Use secure containers. Giant and huge secure containers have 30% more capacity than they occupy (3900/3000, 1950/1500). If you can take 9k m3, then 3 giants will give you an extra 2700. --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Who is the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?" I have a Mmamoth, if you be bothered to train up for it. I have 4 expanders fitted, 2 named (type-e and SS) and 2 expander 1's.
Capacity? 13, 780 m3
Full 27,500 jet can emptied in 2 trips, but it is slow like you wouldn't believe.

transports definately rock
my mastodon with good expanders and t2 mwd 375 top speed with the mwd 19394 cargo
you may want to train up the cal indy skill each level adds to your cargo and at 5 you can think about a t2 indy bustard or crane

I love my Mammoth. As I understand it, it's the 2nd biggest indy you can get, and it only requires Industrial IV. It's also very cool looking, not a giant space *****. :) -- Lil Miner |

My iteron V has 20568 m3, I also have 6 giant containers that gives me a extra 900 m3 per can so I can carry up to 25968 m3

The ultimate seems to be the Charon with its capacity of 785000 m3!!!!!
But the price and skill requirments are.... Formidable.... ---------------------------------------------- Life - Don't tell me about Life - Marvin |

I have a Badger Mk II. Kitted out with decent expanders and several Giant containers + mixed selection down to small containers to completely fill the capacity of my badger II.
I can get about 15k m3 in each load. But I travel at like 60m/s Super slow.
I tend to fly to a belt. Deploy the entire load of containers and anchor them. Fetch a ferox, mine into them, then fetch the badger and collect it all :)
