Hello!
I've read this forum up to page 54 and cannot find a solution for my problem.
I have a notebook with SIS M760GX graphics card (So cannot replace it since it's built in). The game runs fine, even in 1280x800 res.
Only problem is the text of the tutorial and the chat window (and some other places too). It looks all garbled, as if the anti aliasing doesn't work correctly. I replaced the fonts in the fonts directory, but no result. My card has no MIP-MAP setting, and i have the newest drivers and newest EVE.
Does anyone know a workaround?

Suprised onboard graphics even work with Eve. Have you tried upgrading the graphics drivers? I know it fixed the corrupted text my laptop had with its GeForce 2 Go.

I already got the latest drivers... Didn't help..

Update: Just got reply of the support of EVE.
No real answer, just that my card is not supported.. Seems to me they are actually to lazy to make the game just work like it should (Since I am not the only one with this problem).

The game does work like it should. It isn't that CCP is too lazy to make it work with the built-in graphics displays. The problem is that these and other graphics displays do not have the capabilities required by EVE to work properly. That is why they are not supported.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you here. My SIS M760GX Mirage 2 (128mb) card works just fine. Frame rate is good, gameplay is fine.. Only problem is this text.. Not all text.. most text is readable. Only the font that is used in the chat and some info windows doesnt work. Why not use a 'normal' font? The same font does look crappy on my desktop with geforce2 too.. It's better, but still ugly and badly anti-aliased.
So to tell me my card doesn't meet the requirements to play a game like EVE is just bull****. It's just not supported.
The simple fact that eve only seems to supports geforce and ati cards bothers me. I have never seen a game before that only works on some, but not all graphic cards. (maybe sometimes framerate becomes utterly low, but you can at least read the text).
To get back to the subject: (I didn't start this topic to argue) framerate is fine, game works good. Only font is a problem and I would like to have this fixed. At this moment I simply cannot play the game because of this font (cannot read agent missions), and i am not the only one. Please replace this font by a standard font or something.
