Hi,i was just wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in a frigate race torunament in lonetrek region,it would be a tournament for 16 competitors and would have an isk price for the winner. Any suggestions for participating price and winner prize? If i get enough participants that are willing to pay entrance fee then this event would very likely go trough. I was thinking of calling it 'RACE WARS edition I',so if there would be enough interest it maybe could become a series of torunaments :)

You're going to need to define your 'race' a little more to avoid confusion. MWD's or Afterburners allowed? NO MWD or AB? All frigates or particular faction frigates? And also anyone with Navigation 4 or 5 and similair skills will have the advantage/I win button as well.

All sorts of frigates would be allowed,also mwd or ab. I'm still working on the format,would probably be a multiple task race,like bookmarks in containers and stuff,so not only just a drag race from one point to another

would the ships be T1 or T1 and T2?
also would there be an entree fee?

Snake implant sets FTW.
Races are senseless since the introduction of T2 implant sets.
Also - races are just gank traps, why ever bother?

the race will be held above .5 sec systems,so no ganking for that matter:) Also all frigates allowed. And snake sets would not necessarily have an advantage,because the race will have a fairly long duration,and there will be multiple tasks to do,like bookmarks in cargo's that have to be found,jumps,etc...
Any idea of what people be willing to pay for entrance fee?

so pirates can't enter. Personally i feel the possibility of getting ganks adds a whole new level to it.

Suicide destroyers 4tw :D I reckon I can take out 2 frigates before concord pwns my ass - lol.
Also - I think that to add a new dimension to races - all participents must join a new corp (RaceCorp?) for the duration of the event. This will enable new tactics to frigate racing as like in wipout games your oponent will be able to cripple you and get ahead that way

You should probably have separate categories for frigates. Like one race for condors, another for rifters, etc.

Actually, i like the idea of an all-out, anything goes frig race.
Take what you think is your corp's fastest ship with your corp's fastest pilot and go hog wild!
The only thing I would say is make sure that if any of this is moving stuff, make sure the cargo size needs are posted in advance. It would suck to build a frig only to find out every haul will take two trips due to your mods.
I also like the idea of high sec, as it should be a pure speed race, not a "let me web you off the starting line" race.
If this does happen, I hope the route is effectively kept secret. it would suck for someone to insta the route in advance (though if we're talking MWDs, evne insta's won't be a huge avantage).
If people build right, I can see it coming down to who gets the best response from the server when jumping (assuming it takes place in more than one system).

i think that the chance of pirate attacks and espionage is fun. maybe you should have the race go through some low spec space, no the whole thing, just a few parts.
