I was happily NPC'ing away in the Stain region, just begining to chain a spawn, one of the frigs were down, both the Sancha Overlords were down, I thought I'd keep two of the frigs alive to begin the chaining. After a couple of mins waiting fo the respawn, A pilot with a low security status had warped in and had locked me in seconds, I looked at the name only to see Ramuh..................... Oh **** that be one of them Burn Eden, warping to a pre prepared safe spot had failed, so I tried targeting the git, which as I expected also failed. Before I knew if the whole foursome was there locking, locked and firing. My tank was already running from fighting the rats, the cap was fine, as the damaged increased the second large accom was activated, and armour damaged seemed to be holding fine, but without being able to activate the nos on a locked target I knew my current set up couldnt hold the cap forever.
I opened the comms channel to Ramuh who quickly responded with message asking how much I was willing to pay to save my ship, which I promtly responded with 20 mil, I waited almost 30 seconds and a reply of 60 mil came over the comms chanel. I didn't know what to do as 60 mil is a lot to loose on top of loosing a battle ship. They stopped firing and took out m remainder NPC's and helped repaire my armour. I tried to negotiate a safer way to pay the money and insure my survival, but nothing was to be accepted, all of a sudden I was given 30 seconds to pay or the punishment would begin once more, I gave in and paid just seconds before the command to open fire would be given, the scramblers were removed and I wasted no time enguaging the warp drive. I'll remember your promise next time BE.........
The 4 Burn Eden pilots involved are: EtS4ME kickass ramuh the dragon (aka FragM)
These boys use Ravens, and you will not be able to get a lock on these guy until you are approx 150km + from them, with this in mind, set up your ship and go get em!

unable to lock at 150km, sounds like scorpions mate, most raven setups dont use jammers, thats probably why u tanked em so well.....

BURN EDEN uses sensor dampeners IIRC, and its a real bastard to try and beat unless you're prepared specifically for it.

liar. We use no such thing. Every fight we get into, we go to 30km and unload with every gun. and we use sensor boosters and lots and lots of damage mods ______________________________

Its just luck if we kill anything. We have a war chant and pray they lag out.

Also, sometimes after days of no targets, we do a target-dance. Frag discovered this dance after smoking some messed up **** from an old indian shaman.
now targets magically appear out of nowhere when he does this dance. it is also the cause of his maniac dementia. ______________________________

ummmm......... who was there? ummmm......... who had at least 3 of them within 3km while negotiations were taking place. ummmm......... who could clearly see ramuh with a fat grin on his face standing at the brigde with his finger sitting on the Large smart bombs button??? Who managed to keep his ship and continue having a friendly chat with The Dragon
PS I was able to tank them because they were using 2 launchers each, with others in reserve for the heavy tanking kind.
Also these guys are real team workers, their setups are not expected kinds of setups

These guys had blown my bs long time ago. I wasn't able to target them too. Convoing them just didn't cross my mind (my mistake). Looks like they do their job really well

why do u morons make posts like this...
He made this thread giving props to B.E. for an honorable ransom agreement. Obviously he felt that the reputation that most of the forum *****s afford them doesn't do them enough justice so he felt honored to pay them a little respect.

That's pure courtship. I hope other pirates follow this. I would NEVER, EVER kill someone of they paid the requested ransom, unless I had a powerful, and I mean HUGE, grudge against this person. I'd have to hate them to a point of mental insanity to do this, although I must admit I am the kind of person to make these sort of grudges sometimes...

BE use what looks like 2 sensor booster ll's and 3 sensor dmp ll's each. or maybe 3 of each. but how do you repair? do you have a remote shield rep and a remote armor rep fitted to each ship. and you low slots im going with 2 +2 WCS and 2 BCU
otherwise how come my scorp had a locking range of 39km and another ship was being jammed also. and to start with i had a locking range or 249km with 2 sensor booster ll's

Wait, I thought you wouldn't be able to target something more than 200km away. Things dissapear from the overview at that range last time I noticed. And since you obviously can't see something that far away, how does it work? I was in a frig at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it?

its a theoretical locking distance. but when the sitting at 140km i can lock them but not when my shiny scorp has been reduced to a 39km locking range. they must have 3sensor boostes as they were locking me faster than i could lock them and dampening be b4 i got turn my 4 racial jammer ll's on them

I really don't understand the whole ransoming thing. You're in 0.0, they shoot, you shoot back, some seconds later one of you is in a pod or warped away, and you pod them if you can. What's all this ransoming stuff about? ________________________________________ Pirate? We're in 0.0 sweety. |

Well he was the only person in local and there were 4 of us who all had him scrambled/jamed up. We figued, since he was quite a new player that he wouldn't have uber faction mods and that even if he had 5 cap recharger IIs in mids that the chances of 50 mil worth of loot dropping were slim. So why not ransom him for 60 mil? Thats a quick 15 mil each to the 4 of us. The real question is Why NOT?
