Tomias Itaraou	Posted - 2005.10.16 03:47:00 - [1] Here's a bit of background information, I'm a miner, 2 months into game and 1.3 mil of my SP is holed up into learning, I have mining 4, and PE 4. After staring at the rocks for a while - you tend to go psycopathic, and start wanting to shoot things - this is at least what happened to me. Goddamn rocks! So yesterday, I swapped my mining lasers for nos and guns, and went out hunting players. Rocks get boring after a while - plus I swear the boulders are probaly plotting against me. Where was I, ah yes, me, with my very limited combat skills, purchases a brand new vexor and begins to hunt, stalk and ransom. Heres a list of Victims, and what happened, I'm pretty sure this is nothing impressive, but for a miner with 5000 sp in gunnery, it is. Rifter - Killed, nothing much, launched drones, attacked... Kestrel and Caracal - Killed, basically the same thing as before, killed kestrel off, turned on caracal.... I swore the veldspar locked me. Anyways - it's pretty boring, until the rocks speak up again, they start screaming at me for my past transgressions against them and tell me to killl.... So, I find an Eagle, yes, an Eagle, not a Moa, an Eagle - this guy was pretty old, over an year, but with the rocks on one side, and the Eagle in the complex, I decided to take a chance vs the HAC. Lets see, me Vexor, Tech 1 Gear(No named I got some basics though....), and I shoot the Eagle, loaded to the brim with top of the line t2 gear, too my suprise, it starts dieing, and I tank it's damage. So, the guy wires me 30 million isk, and I'm off, I figure it's a good amount. Then I get killed, goddamn friends, I figured it was ettiquitte to call your friends off when the guy honors the ransom. Stupid rocks were wrong this time. I guess the moral of this story would be crime pays, and the rocks tend to be right; if you are nice to veldspar, it's nice to you.

Went onto NPC'ing..... not enough pay Went into missions..... same stuff, different day Went to pirate.... first ransom got me 25mil... damn lucky find Keep it up, get bigger ships and better skills and in a few months you should be pretty well known in your 'area'.

You don't want to get well known in your area, people start recognising you in local, SS'ing or docking as soon as you enter the system. That happened to me after i posted that thread about the apoc. If this happens best bet is to move.

Miners have oft reported visions of asteroids offering them to repent for their sins, although it is unknown whether these pilots were under the effects of boosters during this period, it is wise to believe that the rocks are sentient omnipotent beings. As the representative to the rocks, I protest the cruel "farming" of asteroids. It is morally irrehensible to claim ownership over another sentient being. It is even moreso to cull bodily parts of these species, and then wait for them to regrow thus continueing the cycle of torture.
