Edited by: Eleth Ranc on 16/10/2005 17:35:13 I had a thought which would make some things alot easier.
You know how all turrets have a letter (S, M, or L) on the icon to represent it's size, and what sorts of ships it's intended to be used on?
I think it would be very useful, and probably not difficult to include, a similar icon identifyer on other sized modules, such as Afterburners, Armor Repairers, and Capacitor Boosters.
And yes I think you should include a lower case (and probably smaller font to boot) 'm' for Micro on some of those modules.
What does everyone think of that idea?

I would have added this to my main post, but figured adding a second post instead would bring my topic up again. I would like some feedback on this, as I said it would be easy to implement, and I'd like to know if any Dev thinks this would be a viable idea. Thanks!
Anyways the thought I wanted to add was that you could also use a bold 'X' for any extra large/capital size modules. I'm not sure if they do this already for turrets since I've never actually seen a Capital Turret outside of the market.

Hmm, c'mon this is a simple and very easily implemented idea, isn't anyone even willing to agree with me?

Actually that's where I got the idea, our corp keeps mods that drop from pirates, and when I am fitting a new ship I often have to go into the info tabs to find out what size an item is. In some cases it's not a big deal, I think all Smartbombs for instance say they're size in the name. But when I go looking for Afterburners, I see Monopropellant Hydrazine whatever, and YD-28 something or another, and half the time I can't even tell just by the title weather it's supposed to be an AB or a MWD let alone what size it is, so I have to look in the info tab and check for the booster strength to determine the size, and sometimes have to read the description or guess based on the boost multiplier for weather it's a MWD or an AB. It usually doesn't take too long to figure out, but a simple size icon would negate the hassle all together. Also on that note, why don't Micro Warp Drives have they're own 'type' when sorted by details?
