Hi, I want to setup a website for my new eve corp, but since there's so many web hosting companies to chose from, I can't decide which one to go with.
Any perticular hosting company you can recomend? I've had some bad experiences with some companies in the past, that's why i'm asking.
Also, if you can recomend any places that lets you register domain names for a low price, that would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS! -------------------------------------------------- CEO Guardian Logistics |

Thankyou Lord Aradon, but I want to build my corp website myself, as part of a learning process. I'm taking a web development program in university, and I just started my first course a couple of months ago.
Right now I want to build a neat basic website. Nothing even close to anything fancy. You know, the kind that you build with notepad!

My friend owns part of Sys-Techs.com and he lets me use up spare space for webhosting on one of his servers (hence tekka.sys-techs.com) and I have hosted a few eve videos and according to people who downloaded the videos say that these are extremely fast servers (and they are \o/) and its very cheap »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»

Im using www.serverseed.com they are okay and have pretty good services as far as no soft limits on anything. Had some problems at the beginning because the server i was hosted off of had some bad ram but they fixed that up quick once they found out the problem and its been stable since. I believe they are working off servers hosted at www.theplanet.com so whatever type of connections they have there is what your getting through serverseed.

It's hard to find good hosting company, as there are just too many of them entering this market everyday, so it's easy to get lost.
Anyway, if you are looking for hosting even for your first web site, you better select one that has full functionality as you don't want to get stuck with something that will limit your options as you learn more.
After going through several hosting services over the years for my clients, I found one that I like the most so far. It's http://www.websitesource.com/ I am sure there are plenty of others that are as good, but that's what I am happy with atm.

PHP Programmers, at least from my experince use an IDE like zend studio of phpeclipse or a text editor with syntax highlighting. Thats very important when dealing with complex functions, classes and so forth.

Aye but its not always neccessary depends on your competance in programming overall, i personally use dreamweaver, sorts out my PHP and my HTML without batting an eyelid.
