I have received a communication from the lady herself today. She has informed me as to her whereabouts, and that she does not enjoy her captivity. This anti-slave spokeswoman should not be imprisoned.
The Amarran government has given someone a choice: "Speak out as our puppet or never be free again." They're even considering going back on their word and killing her, quietly, despite her sentence being otherwise. I've heard this directly from her!
The time has come for people to speak up - Shira D'Radonis should not be killed, or extorted!
"Do as I say or I will ______" is a threat - it's extortion. Ask any pirate. Ransom is extortion, pirates are quite familiar with that. The Amarran government is guilty of extortion, and needs to wake up to the fact that silencing people in this way causes revolutions, it doesn't quell them!
If you want to quell them, talk to people. Show them why your way is better. Don't lower yourself to the standards of barbarians just because you're afraid of someone's speech!
Since when does the Amarran government want to be worse than pirates, who at least admit that they're extorting people to get what they want?

But seriously, even in that communication you linked there, pod pilots admit that her punishment is hardly punishment at all.
I'm sure the thought police are reconsidering their decision, I mean really all she's doing there is garnering support. Not really suprising they'd go back on that punishment.

There is no right to free speech in the Amarrian Empire.
Frankly, when one considers the amount of filth that emanates from the Gallente Federation, one gagged anti-slavery protester is a small price to pay for the protection of the moral fortitude of our children.

cannot you Amarr smell the change? before with god you were indestructible not even whole races could stop you. well now you are stale and set in your ways. i know i cannot move you from them but let me say this. freedom of speech is a basic freedom and if not granted by government or emporer its obvious the empire is hiding something, something someones not telling you. with freedom of speech people can make a difference but right now each one of you is cog working in an old crumbling machine refusing to give but a day will come when it does and thanks to all the waiting itll be spectacular that i can be sure of but you will not profit.
Shira is brave Shira stood out and tried to restore some sense into the empire but because your machine cannot change. you rely on silencing people who speak out to make a difference
