I have experienced this for the 2nd time now.
A strange symbol appears to the left of my ship, it's white and about the size of the other symbols you see on your screen representing roid belts, stations, etc., but this symbol is unique, a small v centered above an upside down semicircle which has a thick dot like end on it's right side.
When clicked on it offers no information, and follows my ship thru endless jumps, only to dissapear after I dock in and out of a station.
At first I thought this was some strange icelandic way of flagging me for observation, but maybe it's my mixed Minmatar/Gallente blood calling out my unrevealed Voluval ritualistic mark.
Should I be paranoid or feel special?

If this is what i think it is, i've had this happen. I have a screenshot of it..i should post.
If you look close, it's a jacked up moon icon. looks like a half circle and an arrow all jacked up.

Well considering your corp name I'd think it's a bounty hunters way of keeping track of your location.. :P Try changing ships a few times and hiding in remote locations for a few weeks.
*Me looks everywhere for a eavesdropping device, then realizes this is computer blab so Me should be looking for a camera* :P

ive had this happen and usually when it does i cant right click other icons for planets ,asteroid belts or stations

If it's the symbol I'm thinking of (sorry if I'm mistaken) there is always a harvester drone in the belt. The symbol can't be clicked and stays stuck on the screen until you dock or possibly jump.
There are some systems which constantly drop these drones. For a while I thought players were leaving them but often I would be in the only person in local

I had several pirates i couldnt target, however not every pirate.

Had the same thing happen to me last night. Someone left a basic mining drone in my asteroid belt, yes, it is MINE and everytime I warped in to collect from my can'o'wealth I had to use my scanner to locate my can. I had the same strange icon, could not hoover over an asteroid for information and my cargo can was invisibel.

yeah!!
im getting the same thing, its got to be a bug, it usually goes away but right clicking is a problem.:)

it's a bug.. there are a lot of asteroid fields that causes this bug. i almost lost my ship the first time it happened to me because i couldn't see the pirates until they targetted me.
Only remedy is to dock or relog and it happens every time u enter the bugged area.

looks like abandonned drones cause this graphical bug to happen
