Ok: I have been playing EVE for 8 months just picked up this 3rd account on the bazaar.
Today after 8 months of playing I learned of the existence cerebral accelerators. I am thinking these are very cool where can I get one? I can not find them in game so i go to the help channel and as usual get an answer and even a link very quickly(Help channel is great!) . Excellent there is an Advanced cerebral accelerator 15 jumps away, cost is 1.9 Billion Dollars (ouch that's a lot of mining). Thinking: Ok about 160 hour's of mining with 2 accounts to earn that much isk, for the + 17 to each attribute that the accelerator provides. Is it worth it? Ok I want it. I check prerequisites all green there, getting excited, do not need description already know what it does. I except contract great i got it all good, very excited worked hard for that isk time for a reward :) Click to plug in the advanced cerebral accelerator. What OMG NO WAY!!!! " you have to much experience to use this item" Dry heaves puke a little in my mouth, generally crushed. :-(
Never saw qualifications for an item in the description before, but sure enough buried in the description "characters more than 7 days old can not use this item". 7 days it took me 8 month of playing just learn about there existence aarrg! :) What 7 day old toon has 1.9 Billion? AAARRRGG! again :)
An item qualification like this 7 day thing really does not quite fit in Description or Prerequisites I would like to suggest it be put in both. |

Its more of a collectors item... they weren't always in the billions... but as no new ones are being made/seeded, the price for the remaining ones goes up. |

Seems like the problems here were all on the user end of things. You didn't even bother to read what the item does and therefore made a stupid mistake. There really isn't anything to fix here. Just put the item for sale to cover from your loss and move on. |

They were given with new accounts at one point I think. You bought one that wasn't used for some reason.
You could try playing the game without buying a bunch of trained characters, just make an alt, contract the item over, and start playing from the beginning. You will learn the game better, be less vunerable to mistakes like the one you just made, and find more satisfaction overall in EVE if you do.
EVE is not a game for those seeking instant gratification. If you aren't looking for a hobby that will last you years, this is not the game for you. |
