Hello,
I manufacture mining crystals. I have reseached all the BP's to get the best possible material efficinecy from them and have Production Efficiency maxed out. It costs me 25 nocxium to make 1 Veldspar mining crystal. 25 nocxium has a market value of around 9,000 isk in my region.
Can someone explain to me why or how other mining crystal manufactures can churn out hundreds of veldspar crystals and sell them at around 5,500 isk each?
Surely it would be more lucrative for them to sell the nocxium instead? And I'm not talking about just one rogue manufacture here that seems to be selling at such low prices, there are quite a few apparantly.
What am I missing? How can they manufacture items cheaper than I can when I have maxed out production efficency and have highly researched BP's?

Ahh, you must be refering to Jita and Sobaseki.
They aren't able to manufacture them for less, it's an issue of oversupply and/or stupid marketers. Buy the crystals and melt 'em. If you don't need the nocxium, sell the minerals.

Well, and that Mining crystals are a common drop item in L3 deadspace missions and also are frequent low level loyalty point reward.

Personally I've wanted them removed from agent offers, I thought that was the problem. I didn't know about the common drop which makes it even worse. I made the error and bought these BPO and researched them before I had checked the market, total waste of time and money I found out.

Doesn't hurt to have the BPO if you need 'em, say, in 0.0. Or outside the hubs. But overly useless otherwise, yeah. ----------------------------------

i think the status quo in this case is about right - as more players get the skill more players will use the t1 and then t2 mining crystals - id be more inclined to leave the agent offers there but add somre more diversity in low LP offers.
Since the removal of navy factional modules and weapons LP offers have been stuffed - put them back in and then add gal- calderi etc factional ammo to low end offers and reduce the amount of times of the amount of crystals that the agents drop instead of 100 Veld Crystals I drop 20-50 for the same amount of LP - perhaps have 3-5 veld - scordite etc mining crystals and some say 100 units of small gallente navy railgun ammo isntead.
