Hi,
We have the ability to filter memberlist of chat channels, but not messages themselves. In some systems there are loads of DUST players, and so the local channel in flooding. I'm mission running in Ommare, and I keep blocking a few dozen more DUST players every days as the flood prevents me from reading mission messages and following conversations about game universe or local issues. Moreover, alots of the DUST messages flooding the channel are "Wassup" messages, recruitement spam, and a lot of insults, not very immersive into the EVE Universe.
We are paying for Eve Online content, I'm quite excited about EVE and DUST being to sides of a sigle MMORPG, but I feel like we should be able to not listen to DUST messages. Their are great dudes in DUST, I've found some of them to be interesting to talk to, but in general FPS players and 4X/Spatial players do not share many interests.
We should have a checkbox to filter their messages, and optionnally the possibility to set a minimum standing level of a DUST player to their messages not being filtered.
Sorry about my english... |

I get your intent. Local being the problem here. Being able to block local, remove yourself or others from local, ignore, etc ... all need to be considered.
I spend a lot of time trying to bring Dust players to EvE, myself. Once they understand fitting and the market, etc ... they have an advantage in some of the most difficult aspects of EvE. If you're driven to threaten others with harm or violence because of what they do in game, you can't separate fantasy from reality.-á That 'griefer/thief' is probably more sane than you are.-á How screwed up is that? |

So I guess that to continue enjoying EVE Online the way I did I have to avoid systems where DUST players are located. That seems very restrictive. What % of systems are populated with DUST players? |
