Our network admin browses the EVE forums while at work...
Actually, that would be me!

Perhaps similar to the above poster, I actually *am* the network admin. Despite having a 100mbit leased line, it's not something to abuse...but port 26000 works just fine for me! So does SHOUTCast, Guild Wars and RAdmin. -------------

Oh I've brought a laptop into the datacenter a few times if I had to be there all night installing kit and waiting for OS installs to complete.. and played EVE :D
Although sitting on the floor with a laptop on your knees in about 15 degrees C is uh, yeah.. taxing :P /Dale |

Network Analyst myself and yup, I spend a large chunk of my day checking my corps forum, my alliances forum and the eve-o forum from work.
Not able to install eve-o client at work but working on it :)

I'm a network admin myself, and I can honestly say that I never do anything that I shouldn't.
Especially post on forums and stuff like that.

I'm an Oracle DBA (kinda similar to a sys admin)
At my old job I used to watch Simpsons for breakfast and lunch Plus concert DVDs (Steve Vai,Joe Satriani,G3,etc) while I was studying for my certifications And of course when I got my certs I got a better (ie more money) job
No way I can do that at my new job (here they are still using Windows NT for the workstations! )

I'm beginning to think the net admins here at uni play eve; all other games I've tried are blocked except for eve :) --------------------

I'm a network admin/techie and I don't post on online forums or anything from work *cough*
The only reason I don't mine while I am at work is that my workstation is not up to the challenge of running Eve and getting new toys past the budget manager is quite hard when you can't find a viable excuse for the purchase.

Edited by: Dahin on 24/10/2005 14:24:29 spotted the admin on one of my summer jobs being in a female-homosexual IRC chat pretending to be a woman.
Funny part is that the guy was actually monitoring real time all the sites the entire staff was browsing, and he was more than happy to phone and make remarks if someone wandered off to weird sites. The I stuck the encrypted anonymizer site up his ass.
EDIT: ffs, the filter is at it again
