Hello CCP,
I can do this all day and night long.... Lost connection again, in a system that is dead as a door nail...
Is their not any shame in your organization that someone has to go to this extreme to get a problem fixed.....
What more would you like me to do.... This has gone on for over 24 hours think about that.. down right shameful.
Perfectly good game getting screwed up by the folks who run it.

Happened to me again just now. I guess I am a glutton for punishment as I keep trying to play. It crashed just as I was trying to jump to another system. Actually, it froze for a while, then crashed.

Aye, 30+ times for me today. Not good for people like me living in 0.0, let alone anyone else. Sure, it's frustrating ... but the thing that irritates me most is the lack of info from CCP about this issue (at least more than the vague 'networking problem'). Just because it may not effect every player in the game, those that it does renders the game unplayable. For someone who's supported the game through since beta testing, this is what saddens me the most (and almost proved to be the games undoing during the first 6 months of retail imo).
CCP, I'm sure you guys are busting a gut to get to the bottom of this, but some constructive feedback/updates to all those that are struggling to play the game (that they pay for) would be really appreciated. Thx.

Half the times after a disco I can't even log back in, I get server disconnect already at the character selection, or even before that.
But it seems the problem is not at Eve servers, exactly, because many people have no trouble playing. I'm on IRC with a friend in Japan even as we speak, and he has had no trouble during these past days. Ditto for many other corp members.
Brothergrim:
1) You need to start a new thread every time you disconnect? It serves no useful purpose. I could have started 50 or more of those by now, you think the forums would be better off with them?
2) You really think they're NOT trying to fix the problem? Customers are what's bringing the money into the company, they probably don't want to lose a lot of them by letting problems persist. Personally, I upgraded from free trial to paid account only two days ago, and I'm already regretting what seems like wasted money now that I can't even play the game. But I don't doubt they're working on fixing the problem.
What I'd appreciate would be some sort of update on where they're going with the fixing. I'm pretty sure by now they should at least have been able to pinpoint WHERE the problem is, if not the actual nature of it.
(although the disappearance of one thread on the subject, and the silence surrounding the subject, to me indicates the problem might be the same that Anarchy Online has recently been suffering from)

Happened to me the 20th time today ( not counting the last 2 days ). Im watching the forums carefully and no solution or fix yet, only thing I can tell is what is not working to solve the problem:
restarting the computer
cleaning the cache
reinstalling eve
Virus scans
configuring the Pref.ini
disable the firewall
closing all other running programms
playing in fullscreen/window mode
etc.
CCP, pls come up with a solution soon.
I dont like to pay for sth that isnt working

I am having the same problem, done many things it has to be something to do the the servers router man it never happened to me before, and all of a sudden i get it almost everytime i open eve.

After about a week strait of no probs whatsoever, 2 days now of nothing but disco's. Couldnt even do the corp even last night cuz of it. 3-5 disco's every 10mins... jumping, targeting rats, and even sitting in station browsing the market. U N P L A Y A B L E... goin to reinstall eve, see if it works, if not.. off to play some BF2. So be it.

Try deleting the Tranquility directory under ur cache folder
Default - C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\cache\MachoNet
This will clear any crash/hang data errors in the cache file, and on next relog, its all re-created. This has cleared any issues I had, and also some corp mates who kept dropping out.
