Great darkness has fallen upon EVE, with several problems arrising all at the same time.
EVE, Devs and players face, perhaps, the greatest chalendge so far due to the massive (and nedded) hardware upgrade.
Time for a little support to the people working on EVE from Devs to GMs to ISD.
Suck it in and hold your breath, show your support in this thread.

This is not going to be a long thread..... j/k
Not being able to play is an unfortunate thing, however keeping the players out of the loop is not making it any better.

I whole hartedly caress this thread with my sexeh pink hair.
Best of luck in solving the problems to the Dev team, although I'm still to feel the wrath of any of the CTD's and lag reported so far.
Oh, and have a beer, or ten for me at the fanfest...

Keeping the players out of the loop is mandatory IMO. However, you still need to give regular updates, like every couple of days to quell rampant speculation and hysteria...
Good Luck tomorrow CCP.
I hope this hardware upgrade magically fixes the network problems too! ------------------------------------------------ Current Hobby other than EVE |

Giving regularly updates is what I call keeping us in the loop. Not telling us for days what's going on is what I call keeping us out of the loop.

I hope they are all doing just well... at least they can play Eve :D
I will make them feel better and cheer them along as soon as they give feedback. Coming from a customer service background the minimum I would expect is a daily update on what they have done and what they are doing to resolve this. To be quiet for two days now is very poor customer service. People will be a lot more patient and understanding if CCP feeds back news... good or bad... just news. .

Ulysses, being a regular 'consumer' of various company's customer service depts, I can say wholeheartedly that CCP is a towering beacon of light compared to the pathetic 'service' and 'system' you usually end up dealing with.
At least they haven't outsourced their entire customer services to a non-english speaking company yet. CEO |
