Dear CCP how to the hell did u find a way to break multi accounts logging? Can u share us a name of that dumb idi(...) who proposed such as launcher? If u want to show new wind of changes change graphic add some animation but leave the old mechanic:/.
And now everyone will be force to use direct .exe file.....But i can bet for 10 b in short time CCP will modify it so u will have to use their stupid launcher.

Launchers are terrible, they shouldnt exist. I thought cryptic was bad when their launcher failed to patch over and over and made tens of thousands of users redownload 5.8GB of data that was removed after over and over.
Now CCP has made a launcher thats even worse, log in before you start the client? jesus **** thats just... i would quit eve here and now but there is a solution. Never ever even run the launcher, i would delete it even and manually patch.
Since you can start the client through the exefile.exe in the bin folder and skip the cancer, sorry i mean CCP launcher.
Besides the CCP launcher causes graphics errors, it doesnt use your settings (no restarting doesnt help). Its just a mess of bugs and its terrible design, CCP should really be ashamed. This is what greets me if i use the cancer launcher http://i.imgur.com/PqOQfGl.jpg . Besides from all settings deleted, or rather not being used.
Is this the way CCP wants to take EVE? Well ****, after the aurum store scandal where they put all their EVE resources into things the players do not want. EVE went on the right track again, and now they are derailing again.
C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe is the answer. |

I have to agree this launcher sucks for using multiple accounts and now you cant log off either have to re launch the client to log in another toon it sucks balls !!!!!!! |

Considering the solution for multi-accounting is so bloody easy, I see no problem with the launcher as it currently stands. The new launcher is fine for us poor-ass single accounters :P |

As it currently stands on TQ, it DOES NOT remember anything other than the first account typed in. Period.
Also, if you type another account name in, then hit "tab" to put password in, it resets the account name field back to the first one ever entered. You have to mouse click 'password' after typing in any new accounts.
Total crap. Roll this back off TQ until its atleast fully functional. It should never have been rolled out to begin with.

I agree with the other people in this thread. The new launcher was a step into the wrong direction and should go. I need to log in 5+ accounts much more often than I need to access account management or forums. I don't mind to log in separately for those. Unified login = not required. |

The oddest thing about the new launcher is that at least mine does not allow ship spinning. When I circumvent the launcher and use the exefile the spinning works fine. I will end up doing this more often anyway since I multi-box.

I also have to agree - the new launcher is a serious downgrade in terms of usability when it comes to log-in multiple accounts, it gets even worse if you are using two screens at the same time.
With the old launcher, I had two links on my desktop, each pointing to a separate eve installation with its own configuration. One to use the left and one to use the right screen.
That is no longer possible, as you can only have one launcher instance active at any given time and so I am left with the following unpleasent option: Login first account, alt-tab back to launcher, change login credentials for second account, fiddle around with eve settings to move the second client to the second screen. 
For now I will circumvent the launcher, but I guess that will give me a headeache the second a patch has to be applied...
How CCP could overlook such issues in game like eve where alts are more the rule than the exception is beyond me...

Launcher sucks, it only remembers two of my accounts and it made me sign the licence agreement over and over again (although that has stopped now!). Please can you do something to make logging in a bit easier, it is a small thing but small things matter (ask my missus). |

Confirm. As of this patch I have stopped using the launcher. I understand it not working sometimes, but when it does work it still sucks. Majority of people in EVE have multiple accounts, why would you do this to us? Why do I have to sign one character out of the launcher, just to login and launch another game? Did you guys think about this at all?
TLDR: I used to use the launcher but now I have to use a workaround to actually play the game, or to login multiple accounts. Good game CCP. |
