Well it finaly happened. After selling just about every ship I had and every worth selling module I scraped together the cash to buy me one of them babys. Now I don't have cash to insure it and hardly enough to make it deadly :P So it's time to go and cheak out the wounders of NPC farming and there is where you come in. I just bought the ship 20 min before I had to go to work and now I'm sitting here realy boared waiting to get back home to test this baby out but I thougth I might ask some more advanced Prophecy pilots what they thought about this ship, how should I fit it and what modules you guys think are good for the job. Currently I'm hoping to use them Heavy Pulses that I have been having around my cargo for some time. Guess I will have to tank it so I don't lose it right away.
Well tell me what you guys think, give me some fitting ideas to play around with, every little bit of knowlage on this ship will help me.
cheers.

5x Heavy Pulse (With Microwave)
10mn Afterburner II, Webber, Cap Rechargers
Lows: 1 med armor repper, rest heatsinks.
Kill things from 30km~ out. If they get close, use your 5 medium drones. This setups awesome fun :D

Edited by: Tribunal on 21/10/2005 20:49:50 This is my setup.
Hi: 4 heavy modulated pulse energy beam (multi crystal) 1 medium modulated pulse energy beam (multi crystal) 2 medium nosferatu II
Med: 1 medium afterburner II 1 fleeting propulsion inhibitor I 1 cap recharger II
Low: 2 heat sink II 2 active armor hardners 1 medium armor repairer II 1 capacity power relay
5 medium drones.
You can do any level 3 angel mission with this setup with ease IF you have the trained skills to run this ship correctly.
4 heavies and one small is enough damage to chew apart any ship a level 3 mission may toss your way. The two nos units will let you run everything (with the AB turned off) for a long, long time.

Eh, not to bash the other thread but most of those setups are going to leave you sitting in a pod.

6x Heavy Pulse II (assorted crystals)
1x 10mn AB II 1x 90% Webbier 1x capac recharger II
1x Medium Armor Rep II 2x Energized Adaptive Nano II 1x Specific Hardner (depends on rats) 2x Capac Pwr Rlys
Its a pretty good PVP tank setup. For NPCing you might wanna drop the nanos for 2 more specifics.

actually i think his setup is pretty good, for npc at least. pvp is another story. reason why in the "brutix" post. but in shoty BC arent for PVP unless in a gang with gang assist modules.

So BC are not for PvP?
They are perfectly capable solo-ships which can be damn mean if fitted correctly by a decent pilot.
The old Prophecy setup i was flying for anti-frig stuff and i took a zealot down to 50% armor (i still had 50% and 3 cap charges left) when he CTD`d. Ship warped off to empty space with 5% hull left.
[High] - 6x Medium Beam II`s, Medium Nos [Med] - AB II, 7.5k scrambler/20k scrambler and Medium cap booster. [Low] - 1600mm (best named u can get or T2), 2x Medium T2 reppers, Kinetic, Thermal, Explosive hardeners.

Just a question. Do you find that your setup quickly eats up your capacitor reserves?
I've got the following setup: 6 Med Lasers, 1 Arbalest Missile Launcher, Target Painter, Webber and AB, one medium repper 2, 1 kinetic hardener, 1 explosive hardener and 3 CPRs.
I find that even with that setup, my cap runs dry after about 90 seconds when in heavy battle against NPC Angels.
Any suggestions or thoughts? Forgive me, I am sincere. Do these setups you've suggested really work well against Level 3 rats (in missions)?

well another phat use for pvp is: 3x hardners 2x 1600 plate 1x 800 plate turns into 10k armor + insane resists, excellent for baiting while not as expensive and clumsy as a battleship

Joerd, I'm sorry to say that I do not. I am going to use a booster anyway, though, lol
I do have a question: What do you do with booster charges once you've used them and they are discharged? Can they be recharged, or do you just dispose of them?
I assume you can reload them if you've got spares in your cargo bay, right?

Works just like ammo - you load them up, use them, they disappear, you reload with a fresh set. And it just gives you a big cap injection every time, which is why he can run all that kit - the cap can't keep up with natural recharge on its own, but he's plugging a big burst of extra cap in every cycle

Edited by: elFarto on 25/10/2005 11:40:30 My current Prophecy setup:
6 Heavy pulses with ultraviolet 1 Assault launcher
1 87% webber 2 cap rechargers
1 t2 medium repper 2 em 50% hardeners 2 thermal 50% hardners 1 cap relay
I can successfully take down a 750k blood dark priest. Just don't get webbed and scrambled or your die quicker than you can say, Damn I forgot to insure this one (true story).
I should say there's a certain tactic to take down one of these. Find one with a cruiser escort, then find an asteroid you can use to warp in to and land yourself ontop of him (within webbing range) then web and orbit him at ~3km. He won't be able to hit you with his lasers and his cruise missiles will only do about 40 damage.

It`s a cap booster, which fits 1x 800 cap charge, 4-5 in cargo. Can`t really remember, been awhile since i`ve been in one.
It got 2170 cap which let`s u run dual-reppers a good while before u got to start ur cap booster. Even running 1 repper let`s u tank good and it runs for a good while.
Been under fire from Raven and could take 11 torp volleys (pre-patch) before i popped.
Personally i feel "forever" setups are weak tanked. They run forever, but the HP/sec repair including resists just gets weak.
Ofc forever setups work good in certain situations.

2* Medium Pulser 3* Heavy Pulser Or Beams (depends on Mission) 1* Assault Launcher
1 AB II Cap rechargers, Web
1* Repairer 2* Active hadener (mission specific) 1* Nano plate Cap relays
I've flown lvl 3 Black market hub as my first lvl 3 mission ever with this. I swapped my Beams for Pulsers for the next time. That avoided the hull dmg on stage two.

I use a similar tactic. Except I use...
6x Heavy Beam II
1x 10mn AB 2x Capac Recharger II
1x Medium Armor Rep II 1x EM Hardner II 1x Thermal Hardner II 1x RCU II 1x Capac Pwr Rly 1x HeatSink II
I am pretty sure thats the setup. Use it once in a while to go NPC BS spawns in 0.0. Blood raider BS only. I either warp in, sniper the frigates at 70km with darkblood radios then warp across the belt to an astroid at 100km to drop myself on top of the 1 - 3 npc BS and oribit them at 15km hitting them with Multifreqs.
I can actually brute force a spawn in I accidently warp in close and get scrambled. But that is always kinda a desperate fight. With lvl 5 battlecrusier trained the tank holds if I don't drop my velocity to much.
