After considerable negotiation over recent events, it is with great pleasure that I announce a suitable compromise has been reached between the Curatores Veritatis Alliance and the Glamour Syndicate. Despite immense criticism from proponents of either side, both parties have managed to reach common ground that is mutually satisfactory.
Below are the terms agreed upon:
--- The Glamour Syndicate will agree to the following:
1. The GLS and its subsidiaries will cease and decist the wholesale import and distribution of its adult line of holoreel products within the Empire and instead promote culturally friendly products(Pax Amarria on audio, video sermon feeds, etc).
2. This Sunday's promotional event will be relocated to the Luminaire system, where free copies of our newest holoreel release, Princess Liberated, will still be distributed and our "Pax for ****ography" program will continue as scheduled for the foreigners and heathens.
3. Rather than stacking the Pax Amarria up we collect from our aforementioned program to beat some silly universal record, the GLS is prepared to utilize it's promotional abilities in conjunction with the CVA to sponsor a new program in Amarr entitled, "****ography for Pax". This event would be the inverse of the aforementioned program, where loyal and devout members of the Empire would trade in their smut for a Pax Amarria and some worthwhile attention from a gracious Gallentean woman not trying to seduce them. The date of this will be announced shortly.
IF AND ONLY IF the CVA and its allies agree to the following:
1. Cease and decist the scanning of GLS and GLS-sponsored traders attempting to operate within Empire held territory. Non-GLS or non-GLS-sponsored traders found in possession of morally objectionable material passing through Empire territory will be released only with a sermon, and those intended with a final destination into Amarr systems will be turned back from Empire space. Smugglers caught handling goods deemed illegal by the Amarr government will be left to the CVA or Customs officers discretion as per usual.
2. Archbishop's scheduled symbolic 'presentation' is relocated to Amarr space, as a gesture of good will. ---
On behalf of the Glamour Syndicate, I would like to thank Archbishop of the CVA for displaying considerable diplomatic ability and personal restraint during these negotiations in order to reach a peaceful solution. Let no one lay claim either organization lacked the capacity for compromise and strength of character, or that the art of diplomacy is a forgotten avenue in this day and age.
On a personal note, whilst I feel the more zealous members of the Amarr continue to infringe upon the rights of free trade, I also believe the response by the GLS vastly improved the situation through direct action. Innocent traders were subject to boarding, confiscation, and detainment by the CVA officials, and now they're given verbal warnings or are turned away without physical harm or threat. Whilst some purists may criticize us for compromising, I believe such examples set a precedent for future corporations and perhaps engender tolerance between our cultures.
Thank you, xoxo

As a sidenote, I would urge all independent traders intending to ship or pass through Empire territory to contact an available CVA representative to clarify any potentially immoral contraband aboard their ships to avoid potential harassment. If you're a regular trader who ventures between the Empire and its neighbors and are looking to avert any unnecessary detainment, the Syndicate urges you to contact either myself or Shemar for potential sponsorship.
Scheduled Event:
The GLS has stepped up the release of its newest holoreel, Princess Liberated, an endearing tale of a wealthy Amarr holder's daughter who rebels against her restrictive noble family and runs away aboard a Gallente traders vessel where she eventually falls hopelessly in love with him. It's a riches to rags tale of true happiness, replete with excessive violence, gratuitious sex scenes, and tons of foul language.
The Bunnies and I will be handing out free signed copies of this holoreel to the first 250 people in Luminaire this Sunday evening starting at 20:00GMT.
In addition, The GLS will be sponsoring a "Pax for ****ography" program. At the above indicated time, members of the GLS will replace one Pax Amarria for one adult holoreel from the following choices in the GLB vaults:
1. Bloodvamp Vixens Unleashed 2. Deep Explorers V 3. Bunnies Gone Wild: Campus Darlings
Limit one per customer, and offer while supply lasts.
Thank you, xoxo

Or you could shoot one another. It would be far more amusing and entertaining than any of your holoreels or sermons. Which would win? Neutered old men or ditzy Gallente broads?
But no, just take this away from me, with your 'peace' and 'compromise'. Pff... ___

I applaud the peaceful progress made by both sides. It seems each were able to garner the mutual respect of the other and achieve several of their goals rather than none.
And now to Kaleigh specifically. Thanks for helping to facilitate freer trade between the Amarrans and their neighbours.

I find this resolution quite pleasing in some respects. It is good to see that there are still some areas of dispute in these troubled times that can still be resolved without escalating violence almost from the outset. Congratulations on finding that elusive Third Way.
This compromise also hints at a hitherto unsuspected rationality on the part of those in the ranks of the CVA - those pround exemplars of the Amarr way. Normally we see them as rigid, arrogant, and unable to compromise, as they assert their perceived superiority time and time again. It's almost as if they believe that by repeating, "We are superior; we are right," over and over, it will become true. Generally, their undeviating views are supported by the empty words of their god - a creation intended to justify all manner of barbaric practices. So, to see this compromise reached, gives me just the faintest glimmer of hope that there is a human intelligence behind the wall of conceit that these Amarr people like to hide behind.
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at stars. (Sig best viewed with Firefox)

As the representative of PIE and the CVA in these matters of morality I am pleased to accept this compromise. Effective immediatly we shall cease scanning GLS vessels. GLS has agreed to submit to full customs checks within stations once docked in Amarrian Empire space so while their items may be "safe" at that point legally we will discover if they are indeed shipping undesirable "material" into Amarr.
Given these facts I am happy to accept and look forward to helping Lady Doyle with the P for Pax event upcoming in about a week in Amarr (date to be announced). The scheduled book and holoreel burning ceremony will be moved to Amarr (date to be announced).
I thank Lady Doyle of the GLS for her willingness to negotiate and help prevent the spread of morally objectionable material into our Holy Empire.

Oh, come on... you have to be kidding me. What's the point of exchanging their books to something more fun, if you then use the books to help them in a propaganda/brainwash move promoting their evil religion?

Lady Rhiannon,
We are in the business of entertainment (and making a profit from it), not in the business of judging cultures and religions. If by our actions we can benefit humanity or a large portion of it, we are happy to do it, but we have an obligation to our shareholders and employees to pursure those avenues that will render the most profit with the least risk, within the bounds of our mission statement and area of expertise.

Oh, I certainly understand the pressures of business, believe me... but I doubt if it can in the long run be good for your business to let the Amarr keep on corrupting people into believing your business is a "sin"... So it is more than a bit puzzling to me why you would agree to help in an event that is about spreading that word of their God to the masses.
That, and I am personally disappointed that this did not become the political event it could have.
Nothing against you as a business, as such, though. Good luck in the future and I hope the newest flick sells as well as it undoubtly deserves.

Event Results
It is with great satisfaction to report a resounding success with our recent holoreel release of Princess Liberated and "****ography for Pax program in Luminaire Sunday evening. Thousands lined up for a glimpse of the bunnies dancing atop pallets of our premium merchandise as employees served glasses of the finest wine we could find to keep spirits high as they waited. In addition, our program accumulated a whopping 1,319 copies of Pax Amarria in exchange for the adult holoreel of their choice, including many noted individuals from the capsule community. Bunnies Gone Wild: Campus Darlings proved by far to be the most popular of those chosen. Amazingly, within an hour and a half our stocks of free merchandise had evaporated completely and our glamorous ladies remained shortly thereafter signing autographs and mingling with the public.
As an interesting sidenote, Lomong of Void Spiders was kind enough to trade a copy of the Pax Amarria previously owned by Archbishop himself, and seemed particularly eager to trade for an adult holoreel as a gift to one of her associates.
Special thanks to her for parting with such a collectors item, and everyone who participated in this event.
