****Official altpost press release*****
Thanks to super4lts servant Minmatar Vengeance super4lt has been made aware of pilots running away from war. According to previous posts regarding [5] wars and the number of their enemies it appears that NBSI, PA and F-E has lost more than 700 members.
Corporations that leave during wartime always claim it has nothing to do with wars, they always do. But when you are apart of an alliance wouldnt it be most fair to leave AFTER the war? super4lt cant help to question what good will come out of this war.
super4lt recognize the fact that F-E,NBSI and PA thought [5] were beaten down when they retracted from their cache campaign but now the clearly must see this was not the case.
So how is the war going for all parties and more importantly does anyone see it coming to an end anytime soon?

you can probably assume a large number of those are empire miners/mission runners who didn't want to get caught up in the war so moved to an alt-corp outside the alliance.

if your an empire miner/mission runner, why would you be in a 0.0 alliance?

if your an empire miner/mission runner, why would you be in a 0.0 alliance?
Because their corp joined the alliance
Because they have friends in the alliance
Because alliances also operate in empire
Because he was temporarily making some money before moving back to 0.0

Edited by: Vishnej on 24/10/2005 09:01:39 Most corps are not fashioned strictly to be in an alliance, and many alliances are in flux as to what corps they're composed of.
I could understand why it might be confusing to an alliance that has been invite-only composed of just a few corps for years, but when you grow to a few thousand players in a matter of months, not everyone is on the same page. If your corp was 20% carebear, 80% PvP capable, and you joined an alliance, does that mean the 20% are kicked out? Is there something wrong with those 20% who were there mainly because they had friends in corpchat - leaving despite their friends when they suddenly find themselves in the middle of a war?
I think the title of the "alliance ranking" tab has gone to some people's heads. The numbers on the alliance ranking sheet mean very little, an alliance with 400 skilled pvp pilots, 50 newbs, 100 inactives, and 100 carebears can be just as powerful in a war as an alliance with 400 skilled pvp pilots and 50 inactives. Whether or not alliance A shrinks in wartime.
When entire mixed corps that contain functional PvP elements depart for other shores, THEN the alliance clearly has problems. ----------------- T2 Destroyers: a proposal |

And regarding the petty "which side is winning" flamebait -
I don't think it's yet possible to determine that. The PvPers on our side seem to love that there are targets everywhere, and don't particularly care about the overall direction of the war. I recognise that [5] giving up territory to become basically an Empire War alliance drastically improves their participation rate - whether that tactic pays off will be measured by the state of our respective wallets in a month. ----------------- T2 Destroyers: a proposal |

Edited by: Rod Blaine on 24/10/2005 09:47:21 Leaving alliances in time of war is weak. If I had my way, every corp leaving the alliances we are at war with would receive a war declaration notice of it's own.
I'll be happy to arrange for the warslots needed. You join an alliance, then you suffer together. _______________________________________________

Seriously though, it'd be cool with an official response from the northeren alliances as to wheter they have reevaluated they position on .5. being weak and down.

I'm having too much fun to even bother working out which side(s) are winning. This war has changed from trying to kick [5] when they're down to everyone coming to empire for fun frig/hac battles with no costs to either alliance besides losses. Months of defending space, fueling POS's, claiming systems (F-E, [5], SA taking over SE, etc) has left everyone with itchy trigger fingers.
The sad thing is, most of the smack and ****-stirring comes from pathetic alts like the one who started this topic. There have been no "OMG [5] ARE EJECTING TO PREVENT KILLMAILS", "OMG STAIN CAN'T FLY FRIGS", "OMG F-E LOST SOME MEMBERS THEY'RE DEAD" etc from any of the sides involved in the conflict, or those who aren't, just a few trolls wishing they were involved or are too scared to fight.
Of course, when the wallets start running out then things may change, but for now lets just enjoy the fun and remember not to arm your guns in empire incase you shoot a neutral :).
EDIT: Disclaimer about it being my personal opinion n all the other crap that will probably be taken out of context.

I'd ask all PA members to ignore such an obvious attempt to start a flame-fest.
In terms of the war, IMO I think all sides seem to be having a great time, thanks for asking. I'm not aware of any mass exodus from any of the alliances in the north but I will check.

Hello again.
Darken Two. super4lts signature has mysteriously removed by forum mods even though it had the proper size and amount of data. Right now super4lt is considering if he should put it back up or not, but is afraid he might get targeted by moderator injustice.
Thank you Darken Two and Drilla for your love, warm feelings back at you.
@Nafri. super4lt is not the one you belive him to be. super4lts main is a relatively unknown character that posts on these forums on a few, selected occasions. He is involved in one of the major alliances so hes not entirely clueless, if hes brainless or not is another issue naturally.
Peace and love from super4lt.

NBSI is enjoying these wars and abundance of red boxes, as the war started we moved a 10man corp out of the alliance who only joined so we could hijack their war vs snigg. We also culled alot of inactives from several corps.
What you see now is a leaner NBSI, that can hopefully backup anything which spouts from its mouth :)

Point A: Really ?
Point B: No good will come out of this war, as no good will come out of wasting time playing eve but it's easier than gardening and less boring than fishing. If I won the lottery tomorrow I wouldn't be spending my time playing silly computer games I would be jetting off somewhere but as it stands, silly computer games ftw (or ftp actually "for the poor")
Point C: They were beaten, thats what beaten is you retract from a campaign. RA beat them by having the stronger will. This 'we couldn't be bothered winning' but we could have won is just smoke and mirrors.
Thats like saying NSA could have beaten BoB if we could have been bothered fighting, but fighting is such a bore so we decided to advance to empire instead. BoB using being better at fighting game mechanics against us - bleh.
Point D: Going well on all sides I think.
Point E: No

I could have told you that right on the day the major [5] force moved out of cache. A beaten alliance going back to empire looks different. And I remember the 'And now we take Curse !' calls one day before in local from F-E or PA and I thought: 'No, not gonna happen !' (hmm, wrong game, that was planetside I guess or wow)
Well, we'll see how this goes on. I'm really curious. Good fun to all. I was only involved for a short time. /me leaves and goes a bit carebearing now ^^

According to EVE-O [5] had 1085 pilots at the beginning of the war. They still do.

maybe they just got sick of lamers in sniper ships running 6x wcs picking off thier supply convoys only to run away when anything bigger than a battlecruiser bothered to point his ship at them?
i know all you carebears like your 100% invincible sniper setups but it's about as exciting as mining veldspar to fight you
