New thread because all the other ones are about the STUFF. BAH! I want one about the PEOPLE!
One thing I wanna say is that anyone on these forums that ever accuses CCPÆs people of not caring about the game needs to be skinned. I have never seen a group of people more dedicated andà well, like me in terms of their passion to make something enjoyable.
I think the most awesome part of FanFest was the chance to meet some of my fellow players and the people who made this game possible as well. Some people looked as I pictured them, others did not. I was very surprised on a few occasions and the entire thing was just one three day party. HereÆs my list, in no particular order, of the people I met whom I remember the most who were not my fellow MC mates. If some of this seems too sappy, too bad. Go back to the ships and modules forum.
ZZaatzt (CEO of Millennium): I donÆt care if I spelled your name wrong, dude! This guy was my biggest surprise of FanFest. IÆve had very little contact with him in game, but IÆd always followed MLMÆs progress and respected the corp. a lot for what theyÆve been through and accomplished in EVE. Now, IÆd go back next year just for a chance to hang out with this guy again. I feel like I made a real friend and even if I end up shooting at him in the future, I know heÆll understand. Right, Phil?! 
Oveur: Far from being the serious guy I expected, Oveur proved to be the funniest guy at FanFest. Drunk, not drunk he steals the show when it comes to EVE. What I found most awesome about this guy is that he is completely open to any and all ideas. He was accessible to anyone that wanted to walk up and start a conversation. He looks at the game with the same wide-eyed wonder and joy that any player does. Best of all, he doesnÆt know everything and makes no bones about that fact. Oh, and I talked him out of his Dev badge!! YAARBQ!! Shin Ra can have the faction BS! 
kieron: I do NOT want this guyÆs job. The man should be praised for his seemingly infinite patience and willingness to engage a player on almost any subject, and I do mean any subject. He has my personal gratitude for taking the time to lay to rest a few very specific concerns I had and also the manner in which he did it. Kieron was an awesome host for everyone at FanFest, only rushing away when he was needed and never shying away from a player who just wanted a quick word. Kieron is a class act all around and the EVE community is lucky to have him.
Blacklight: I donÆt think I ever saw this guy without a beer in his hand and a smile on his face. Top man!
Doctor Gonzo: BlacklightÆs brother, I believe? Had a blast the few times I talked with him. Hard to believe heÆs a stone cold killer!
Omber Zombie: The most evil man in EVE! Yeah, I said it! Him and his n00bie mining drones at EVE-U make me sick!! Seriously, OZ was probably the most easy-going person at FanFest. Nothing seems to bother this guy and he seems to be friends with everyone. IÆm glad I got the chance to meet him this year. I canÆt imagine heÆd make the insane trip from down under again anytime soonà
Raem Civerie û Yeah, another misspelled name. Sue me. He and OZ were always hanging out together. I think EVE-U and Guiding Hand are shadow partners or something. Yeahà IÆm pretty sure they are considering OZ being evil and all thatà
Zelota û Far from what I expected, I couldnÆt help but like this guy. Too damn funny.

Shin Ra: Exactly what youÆd expect from a Burn Eden guy! I canÆt make up my mind about this guy, but I couldnÆt help but get over it as FanFest wore on. Shin Ra seems to revel in being hated to the point where one canÆt help but be amused by it all. Credit to using him using his charactersÆ Bio in the tournament to smack talk and keep the crowd laughing. Where there is a will, there is a way, I guess? LOL!
The CLS guy who hung out with MC all weekend: I think this was James Black? Anyway, thanks for the good talks. Was a pleasure to meet and chat with you.
The Imperium guy who hung out with MC all weekend: HeÆs in Geeklab and somehow I forgot his name! Arrgh! Very cool guy! Evemail me, dude!!
Letari: Tried to molest me outside in the cold! Alcohol is bad, mÆkay!!
Caytlyn Rose: Took Oveur to task about mining. I was surprised to see her there and happy to meet her. Nightwish 4TW! Good luck with your new marriage, Caytlyn! 
Lianhaun & 'Lacrimae: Sorry you two didnÆt win anything in the MC lottery. Please donÆt hurt me!! 
Tyrrax Thorrk: All respect to this guy for taking a Maller all the way to the finals. Also, he did an awesome job of arguing the ups and downs of the current status of the Aurora program.
I know IÆm forgetting people. Feel free to post below this and call me an old man with Alzheimer disease for leaving you out. I still need about 10 hours of sleepà

I'll second the Zelota comment, not what I expected at all. Top bloke.
I was really impressed with the time the Devs took to speak to the players, the round tables with TomB and Sir Tuxford were just awesome.
Oveur also took the time out to sit down for half an hour with us and discuss all kinds of things.
Really really chuffed and impressed with those.

If anyone does fancy going on the cheap next year, I can really recommned the Reykjavik Centrum hotel 99% as good as the Nordica and half the price.
Even better though, is that it's right in the middle of the city meters away from the bars and music venues and only 15 mins walk to the Eve venue.

Omber Zombie: Never really talked to him before in EVE, save for a few attempts to recruit him during my occasional one-man crusades. Decided to go meet him the day before the fanfest and play tour guide regardless, and OZ turned out to be the most likeable guy ever. Seriously. It's not possible to have a beef with this man, ever.
Seleene: Center of every damn conversation ever happening near him. And don't worry shnookums, you'll always be a hot chick in my eyes. ♥
Anla Shok and Lianhaun: Partners in crime. You guys never showed up to be my cheerleaders during the championship like you promised! Traitors.
Clipped Wings and Lacrimae: I didn't even know 3rd Front was still going strong before having several lengthy conversation with this long-haired dane and tall goth-ish chick. Revel in my newfound respect for you and your alliance.

Raem, was quite the intellectual debates we managed to have, actually...It's quite rare to be discussing underlying social experiments in and about EVE, in paticular when discussing whether or not post-humanism would work in real life. ;)
