I do , a lot, I hate their stupid drones.
At least they don't have Sentries. Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.
Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life! |

They do actually, but Sniper Drone teams aren't very cost effective. There's a lot of competition for their slots that are much more useful on a table.

Tau: Yeah we suck in close combat. Shame you'll never get there.
I'm listening to-áBj+¦rk, playing EVE, eating fishsticks, and I'm cold....this is immersion gaming. |

Haha. I remember when I played Tau. "Ooooh nice dreadnought you got there... A SHAME IT WILL GET RAILGUNNED! "
Was hilarious when (this was in FB) me and my friends got these enormous tables, put our armies on it (like 5 in total) and played FFA. Pretty much always lost due to being pinched between 2 enemies (A Slann throwing spells, skinks pewpewing darts on me from one side and a freaking large undead army throwing itself on me on the other.... Nasty experience, I tell you!). |

These days I'm doing less and less with GWs miniatures.
My current painting pile contains about 5k points of ships for the Kingdom of Britannia for Dystopian Wars.
A big box of miniatures for Sedition Wars (by Studio McVey) with another box coming later in the year.
In the next few weeks I should also be getting a whole bunch of miniatures from Mierce Miniatures Darklands' range. Especially these last ones look astounding. There's such a wealth of detail on these models, especially on the monsters. |

Force on Force then. There are rules and figures for pretty much any kind of game but with the exception of Battlefront who make Flames of War rules and minis for WW2 and Vietnam none of them are close to the size of the Games Workshop empire. Favourite maker at the moment are Warlord Games who's sculptors and writers tend to be ex-GW. They've got Ancient rules and pike and musket by Rick Priestly while American Civil War minis by the Perry Twins for example.
Problem with real world wargaming is there are so many different sets out there finding players and rules everyone in a group is happy with is a chore! |
