Hi,
Im doing some lvl 3 missions at the moment, as I need a security standing of -3.99 so I can enter 0.6 space. However, many agents I visit give me missions in 0.7 space that I cannot enter, it means I have to either lose standings or wait 4 hours and not do any missions.
Storyline missions are also frequently turned down by myself as I cannot enter the system that the Agent is in.
I just wanted to make everyone aware of this as it has become a pet peeve of mine. --

How did you earn that security status? Getting Podded in my hauler by gate camping pirates is a pet peeve of mine.
Why would civilized space want a player that earned a -4 or worse security status in it? If you are an uncivilized pirate you can spend your time in uncivilized space. Stop whining that your actions have parsed you out of a portion of the game. Go freeze your butt off in 0.0 space.

Find an agent further away from high sec space.

Picking an agent in safe space so you wouldn't suffer the fate that you used to inflict on others has become a pet peeve of yours?
Err, thank you for sharing, I guess?
The concept you're struggling with there is called "consequences". It's the same concept that jetcan miners are unable to grasp. I see an alliance waiting to be forged...

That's why I am doing lvl 3s,
I just wanted to draw people's attention to this, I guess maybe the Devs could implement something where missions are given in systems where you are allowed, it makes sense after all.

Why, why, why, why!?!?!?!??!?!
Why flame, have you nothing constructive to say!?
I am doing missions aren't I?!!?
Should I remain a pirate until my security status magically goes up to +5?
No obviously not, therefore I am doing missions for the sec status, not the money, and definitely not the flames.
Now, please start a new thread if you will about letting people who are actually allowed into 0.5 space in 0.5 space? If I was -5 as opposed to -4.2 then I would not be allowed in your precious high security space where you feel so safe.
With regards, Shinnen.

I can understand that you'd rather not see any light shed on the reasons for your whine, err "pet peeve", but my pointing out that your current situation is a direct result of YOUR past actions and YOUR present choices is hardly a flame.
Call it a reality check :-)

Thanks for keeping it real....idiot

Anyway. It seems odd that you are given a mission in a system that you cant enter, and further more that you are penalised for not being able to accept those missions HOWEVER, as kyle said: go and do a mission somewhere else. If you cant control yourself you dont deserve the sec status :p

Edited by: Testy Mctest on 25/10/2005 12:31:38 TBH, I don't know how you can shout flame at people so vehemently.
What you want, is the game designers to add a workaround for some of the penalty associated with being a pirate.
As has been said, nothing needs to be changed or implemented; it is your own fault you did what you did, and you are now suffering the downside. Was ganking all of those helpless ships in 0.1-0.4 for little to no reward worth it? Well, obviously, it was for you, as you enjoyed the PvP rush. This is a PvP game, that's cool. Stop complaining about it.
Seems to me like you need to get belt ratting and get your sec status up. It will be a lot of work.
And I hope no pirates find you while you're belt ratting, while your cap is low, your shields/armour are low, and you're 'helpless' too. Maybe then you could come here and complain that ganking is unfair? _______________________________

Edited by: Melkisadek on 25/10/2005 14:52:00 actually i think he has a point *cough*
while the devs are at it can they stop giving me missions in anything lower than 0.5 systems as i can't be bothered checking my map to see if any lame gank squads are sat about waiting for people to enter low sec
oh and can they stop preventing my titan from getting in 1/10 complexes - them 1st tier overseer effects look really pretty when i wear them as a necklace
tbh shinnen - you are now suffering as a direct consequence of making others suffer at an earlier date - if you've become bored with pirating or aren't making enough isk or whatever then tough - there are mechanisms within the game to increase your sec status - use them!
every time i get two missions in a row in low sec space i have to make a decision as to whether i want to risk being ganked or suffer a loss in standings with my agents - i put up with it even though its not a situation i've created myself (other than choosing agents at that location which i can alter if i want) - your low sec status is a direct result of your actions - learn to live with it
