Irashi, Gray, Caldari, thanks much! It seems to be very slowly expanding in use. It was my hope that if enough people started using it then you would be able to mine more easily, as mining solo can be difficult, especially in low security areas.

Some folks in corp have been getting blank page when trying to access MOM, despite adding to trusted sites. Are there any known issues in this respect? It's not corp-specific, as most of us are a-ok.
Btw, this gizmo rocks.

You might want to include a syntax example of how to fill the "Belt" textbox properly, the instructions are quite vague.

this should be a sticky, cause this tool is very useful.

In the reply box, you need to put http://www.clanwind.com/ as opposed to http://www.clanwind.com/stc/mom.asp. That solved my problem of a blank page. Also, there are two buttons at the bottom of the box, i clicked remove because the remove button is in the place the ok button normally is... But that's probably just me :P

Edited by: Karnas on 22/11/2005 17:35:48 Hello everyone.
This is Karnas, (Savil is one of my alts) and I am the author of MOM.
I do appreciate the requests for a sticky, maybe CCP will deem it worthy and sticky it some day. 8-)
I've been gone a few weeks, but I'm back now, catching up on things. There have been several reports of people getting blank pages when attempting to view MOM. However, in every case so far, this has been resolved by putting http://www.clanwind.com/ in your trusted sites. If you put in http://www.clanwind.com/stc/mom.asp it WILL NOT WORK. Just put in the web site name with a trailing slash and leave off the stc/mom.asp part in your trusted sites settings. Of course, to load the page itself, you have to use the whole url. Some people have also made the mistake of typing a semicolon (;) instead of a colon (:).
Another side note: The best way to contact me is to use the MOM FEEDBACK option in the MOM application itself, OR use an instant messaging protocol and see if I'm online. My instant messaging contact information is as follows:
Yahoo: TantrasKC MSN: [email protected] ICQ: 16220529 AIM: Belwyn1
I certainly appreciate any feedback or suggestions you have for MOM and I hope it continues to be useful as it expands in popularity.
As a side note I am no longer actively playing EVE, however I am dedicated to continuing support of MOM for the long term.

Additional feature idea: timer with audible tone.
You could set this using a value for seconds that would match or be just shorter than your lasers' cycle. Then, regardless of what you were doing (reading, shaving, typing one-handed, etc) you would know when your first laser is pulling ore into your hold.
This is especially important for solo mining in tanked ships as you are forced to move the ore to a jet can before more of your lasers cycle or you loose the ore for that particular cycle. I experience this quite often running two clients (miner, security) in an Armageddon whilst mining mercoxite.

Originally by: Steppa Additional feature idea: timer with audible tone.
It's a good initial idea, however we'd have to figure out a way to make it work.
The EVE Browser does not support javascript, java, or any other client-side scripting or special features (such as sound - midi, wave, whatever support). It supports very plain html, and although it says it supports tables, in reality it does not (they eventually cause the browser to lock up, or at best they cause the browser to run extremely slowly when rendering pages). In short, the EVE browser supports only VERY simple HTML and forms, and that's it.
To do what you are asking I would normally accomplish with javascript running on the client side. That, however, is not available on the EVE browser.

Wow, I love this. Thanks. One suggestion: On the past history of mining ops page...perhaps a Date/Time stamp on the list? I know the most recent ones are on top but it would still be nice. :) GREAT JOB!

Thanks! That is very doable, I'll add it to the next version.
