Edited by: Ecchus on 27/10/2005 02:07:19 If you're going to be in Austin and you want good beer, go to the Ginger Man (4th street near Guadalupe), the Draught Horse (42nd at Medical Parkway), or Lovejoy's (on Neches between 6th and 7th streets).
...why yes, I do live in Austin. ==========

Almost all stores here have Becks. It tastes like a$$. Sam Adams is far better. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.

If you guys really want some good American beer, try Stone beers. They will kick your ass. Arrogant Bastard Ale, Smoked Porter, IPA, all good choices. They go with this slogan: "Fizzy yellow beer is for wussies." It's hard to find, but if you can find a bar that serves it up on tap, you've found a favorite hangout. It'll make all you guys shoutin bout Sam Adams or Beck's (wtf?! I'd rather have a Natty Light that Beck's) make you feel like you've been arguing over who makes the better wine cooler.

Well you had me going till the words "golf, lawnmowers, and sheep"
Why do scots wear kilts?....
Simple. Because the ladies love a man in a kilt, what better reason is there?
*Note: I mean traditional kilts, not that pansy leather kind going around at the moment* **************** Pain is a way of knowing yourself; Death is the ultimate in self-discovery.

The EVE Never Fades video has been showing at the IBM booth here and at the Speaker's Party on Wed. EVE has been met with excellent feedback and the promo copies of E-ON and the Gallery cd have been just flying off the table at the IBM booth.

Not trying to be offtopic but...
Stone Microbrewery (if it can still be called that) is the WIN. Man that is a good set of brews.
BJ's Brewery = Yum
and Becks in the States is good. I'm just glad there's an Irish bar here on Okinawa (the owner/barkeep is Irish, complete with attitude) that keeps nice, fresh Guinness on tap.

Hellmar and Oveur are on their way back to Reykjavik at this very moment. I dropped them off at the airport a couple hours ago and am taking a small break in my hotel room before flying back home tomorrow.
Austin itself is a great town. 6th street reminds me of downtown Reykjavik, lots of college students hitting the bars. Certainly a party town!
The conference went very well, people could not stop asking us about the RamSan equipment and how it is working out for us. The MMOG industry is certainly changing and going through growing pains as the traditionally English speaking MMOG companies look for new markets in the East. EVE may be small compared to other titles, but we are certainly at the bleeding edge of technology and design.
Oveur and I will have more to post in the near future on the conference and FanFest. Just too worn out from the FanFest, travel, jetlag, the conference and a beer or two too many.

Sam Adams? You are joking, there are so many good microbrews around that are far more enjoyable.
I don't know anyone in Colorado that drinks that. New Belgium rocks, O'Dells is great, Pyramid is good.
As for import, I gotta say, the limeies sure have a great beer with New Castle. I pick that one above all. ------------------------------------ -Shadrin

Man I am SOOOO glad to hear that. Just turned on a coupla compusa sales folks at the local store onto that vid....eyes a'poppin' and jaws were dropping.
It is gratifying to hear that although we are a relatively small fish in this mmo pond, we're making big waves.
oh and to the poster above me......I'm from Denver, and I love Sam Adams. (not to the exlusion of other fine tasty draughts, but the SAM has a flavor I thoroughly enjoy.)
