Hi guys,
I've read dozens of forum posts and guides but I'm still not sure.
My player standings are ready and high enough to anchor the POS where I want it to have.
I've created my corp at Friday 20:00 Eve Time.
Will I be ready to anchor it:
1. after 7 full days (20:00 Friday)
or
2. after 7 Downtimes (after 11:00 Friday)
or
3. after 7 Full Days+ the next Downtime (after 11:00 saturday) ?
I just have to say, I really hate the standing system :D |

You can not include your social skills with your faction standings when deploying a POS.
Only the base faction standing will count. |

Welll.. thank you for pointing this out, my personal standings are calculated correctly and ready for anchoring.
I only need to know exactly how long it takes for the corp standings to update. |

Up to 7 days for your corp standings to update. They're calculated based on your corp standings not the player doing the actual anchoring. The standings with the corp are averaged between the characters in the corp who have that particular faction standing. |

I know you want to help and I'm thankful for it but... What part of my question isn't clear?
I even listed it with numbers to choose :)
How long is "7 days", how do you calculate it exactly? |

Corp Standings are calculated every DT using the average standings of all characters with applicable standings who have been in corp for at least 7 days. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

So, the numer of days in corp will update at 20:00 Friday (reaching 7), and then I will additionally have to wait until the next DT to get the updated corp standings.
Answer 3 it is. Thanks for your time, and sorry if I was behaving like an ass. |

Funny thing is, I booted a couple of members out of the corp as it dragged the standing down to 3.something, and all it took was 1 downtime to get it back up to 8
Not sure if it's any different for new corps, but I'm sure they changed it not so long ago, but I can't be arsed trawling through dev-blogs to find it.

Corp standing updates every downtime. The resultant standing is the average of everyone who's been in the corp 7 days.
Hence you can boot someone with low standings before DT and the corp standings will be recalculated at that DT and increase, but if you accept someone into corp (or start a new one) it's 7 days before the members' standings count towards the corp's |

Mission Domino wrote:7 days from the corp's inception. More generally: a member's standings are only considered after 7 days in the corp.
If the corp is newly created, nobody has been in it for 7 days yet! The CEO is the first member to join the new corp, so 7 days after the corp creation is the first time the corp standing can change.
Standings are calculated daily from those eligible. Only non-null standings are included in the average, where null standing means never having any standing with the entity.
If a person leaves the corp, corp standings do not change unless someone else stilll in the corp causes the standings to change.
IMPORTANT: Standings are cached, so one often has to flush their cache before anchoring a tower if you are relying on recently changed standings. |

On a related note: How are Corp standings handled these days in regards to members with Zero standings. In the past, members that had no standings towards a particular entity would be excluded from the Corporation's Average towards that entity.
However, I was told just yesterday that this is no-longer the case. |

Still appears to be the case, looking at my corp's standings.
You can go to the corp standings page, right click any of the corps or factions and chose 'show compositions' to see exactly who is and isn't contributing to the corp's standings.
Oh, and it's members who have no standings at all (never gained or lost any) who don't contribute, not members who have 0 standings (gained a little, lost a little and are neutral) |

firstly people with Null standings have 0 effect.
if a player has any standings IE 0.00 this will have an effect... -
There is a difference between 0.00 and null standings... null standings means neither positive nor negative, 0.00 means they have done something to earn and negate standings..
The time is 7 days or 6 downtimes so start on monday evening and monday (following week) downtime it will be ready Start monday before downtime and it will be ready after downtime on sunday.
Still the only person to offer corp creation free of charge. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=35634#post35634 Created over 200 was 3rd on the all time corporation job history on eve-board. This service is in stasis due to personal game time... |
