I liked that song, it can make pretty much anything dramatic if you mute the sound of the scene itself.
The game itself however used it in a couple to many cheesy scenes... especially the ending. |

Mass Effect trilogy is awesome - right up to the last five minutes of ME3. I haven't played it a second time, I simply can't force myself to do so. |

3 games were awesome. Ending was utter bollocks.
I think they got to designing the end and the conversation went a bit like this:
Dev 1: Right chaps..I've had a look at the choice system and we appear to be completely buggered from a time/investment perspective as far as the ending is concerned; ideas?'.
Dev 2: We've overextended ourselves haven't we...we can't possible do the ending justice now...
Dev 1: Get out Fred, now is not the time for self pitty. Leave that defeatist talk to Activision! We owe it to the fans to find a solution to the problem!
Dev 3: With enough time we could do the ending justice...we just need more resources and time gents. More resources and time will see us through!
Dev 1: I'll put it to the exchequer.
Dev 2 & 3: *Muted silence
Dev 1: ...if I don't return, tell my family I love them...
Dev 2 & 3: *Awkward sideways glances, not wishing to make eye contact
Dev 1: Good bye
**Later that day**
Dev 1: We have a plan which will do the fans justice sir.
EA Rep: This we like...please continue...
Dev 1: We can formulate a choice map and tie everything off properly with more time and resour..
EA Rep: Just do a good, bad and middle of the road ending and **** off.
