My first post. 
This may have been posted before in the forums but I cant find it. 
How long does a secure cargo container last when I jettison it?
And will that "timer" be reset if I Scoop it up or must I take it back to a station for it to reset?

I may be wrong but i believe secure cargo containers last for ever. Or at least a very long time.
The other day i read a post about someone doing graffiti in space with secure containers, after at least 2 days i went through that system and the "grafitti" was still there.

Koinski is correct. I have tested the secure containers for over 5 hours and nothing has happened to it.
Another person tested it for over 16 hours and no problems and like Koinski said the Secure Containers are still floating by the station 2 days later.
The good thing is that you can not "Scoop" the containers in your ship unless you know the Password. You can not open them unless you know the Password. And if they get mad and try shooting them, the are basically indestructable. Someone put over 2k of damage to one and was still unable to destroy it.
