Since most player pirates use +2 warp jammers or so, if i used two +1 warp stablizers, would that negate the warp jamming? if not, is mwd the only way to escape someone outgunned and faster than you? |

I believe two 1 strength warp stabiliziers would work. They should work like ECM, theyre effects stack and in order to be jammed you need to OVERCOME the stabilization strength. I.e. if you had two stabs someone would need to jam you with a strength of 3. You'd want to get confirmation from someone whos been in the situation to test them though.

Regular warp strength is 1 In order for you to be warp scrambled the agressor needs to get you down to 0 or lower. Most people use disruptors (20km range), they have -1 strenght so one warp core stabilizer will fix that, getting you back to +1. If the person is using a scrambler (7.5km range, -2 strenght) you will need two WCS's to match it. With one ur still at zero warp strenth.

In dangerous circumstances, I fit 6 to my indy.
Should reduce the chance of be being pinned somewhat.

Look at it like this: If the poor bastart is in an equal ship as you and has 2 med slots filled with scramblers... don't try to flee.. blow him out of space. His ship is crippled!
I tried to run last time and got my ass handed. I placed 2 or 3 shots befor i died because i saw i can't escape and i saw major damage on his ship. If i'd just fought him he'd most likely died or fled. This will only work with equal ships of course but on the other hand: If he's in a megathron or they are 2 or more you have no chance anyways if you don't MWD past them, that is.
Fight the pirate scum! DIE!

does the warp stablizers have to be turned on first in order to avoid being scrambled or can you get scrambled and then turn on the stablizer?
