When I double click the eve icon, it shows the loading screen, but when it goes into the screen where you login, the rectangle is black but i can still see my cursor...
Anyone know whats wrong?

I have the same problem...and others.
I re-installed windows XP and EVE. then copied my old settings across and the problem occured.
I found putting the newly created eve\cache\settings\pc.DAT file back into the settings folder cured this.
Still have a problem with all the graphics and tutorials resetting every time I dock/undock, jump, log etc...

Same tried deleting cache didnt work......teach me to take a weeks holiday

Yea i Took weeks holiday came back n got black screen , is only solution to re-install eve ?

I deleted the pc.dat file and cleared the problem up for me. Just as a FYI.

I am having the same problem. Has anyone got Eve running on a Mobility Radeon 9100 IGP? If so, did you have any problems & how were they solved?

Deleteded the pc.dat file, and i am still stuck/can't see the logon screen, anyone have a fix?

had the same problem recently..
clearing the cache/settings folder fixed it for me but all the ingame settings like window locations and custom color themes get reset..

I installed a new sound card today and ran into this problem. Upon recommendation, I deleted the pc.dat file and was able to successfully start EVE.

Had the same problem after uninstalling a load of other software, none of it related to Eve - I uninstalled .NET framework 2 beta and replaced with .NET 2. I also tried to change the playlist using Eve Playlist generator, maybe that was the problem?
Deleting pc.dat got be back up and running again, thanks guys :)
