I recently got the skills to fly these great ships. So far I have lost 2, one to a wolf (did explosive damage, nothing I could do really), and the second to a cerberus while I was doing a complex :/.
I know these ships have great PVP potention, ecspecially against hybrid turret ships. So far I have this setup:
3 X 125MM II 1 X Small 'ghoul' NOS 1 X 1MN AB II 1 X Langour webber 1 X Fleeting Disrupter 1 X small rep II 1 X Adaptive Energized Plating (12 days till t2) 1 X Overdive
And of course many light drones (mix between EM and explosive)
I have been told blaster setups are quite effective as well, but dont like the idea of MWD's, as my cap skills are not really that sufficient.
Any ideas for solo PVP? I know the limit of this ship, dont fight minmatar :)

Just got one of these myselfs.
Not my setup, I grabbed it elsewhere, but I agree its hot
2 X 75mm T2 Gattling - 2 Nos MWD T2 - Web - Scram 200mm Plate - PDU - Small Repairer T2
Mix of light drones.
Cap is not an issue most of the time cause of the 2 nos. MwD gets you in to range quick(ish). plate gives you over 1k armour. PDU enables me to fit the plate... don't need the aux. If you do, swap it.
The guns can hit out to 20k if needed (iron). That plus the drones can annoy ceptors who try to out range you.
That is all.

the meds are ok, but try out the standart plated vampkur setup:
2x T2 75mm rails 2x nossies
T2 200mm plate CPR T2 small repper -------------------

75MM guns, seems like a low damage output setup though. 2 small nos if good for other frigs/intys/assualt but what about cruisers?

I'm 99% sure that won't fit, you need an MAPC instead of the CPR.
My fit is similar to these, but I use Ion Blasters instead. Most of the time you need to get under 5,500m to stand a chance (nos range) and so you might as well fit blasters and considerably improve your damage. I've tried 75mm and found that they are very flexible, but I still prefer the extra damage of blasters
edit: So my setup is:
2x Ion blasters 2x small nos
1x mwd 1x web 1x 7.5k scrambler
1x small rep 1x MAPC 1x 200mm plate

I had that setup.
AB instead mwd btw, and a 20km scrammer
(points out to the OP setup)

for the 2 * 75mm T2, 2 * sml nos setups with the AB, a CPR fits with the MWD you need a PDU or MAPC
unless maybe if you have adv weapon upgrades 5(I didn't check the math that high, I only have adv 2)

Why oh why are you wasting a low slot on an overdrive? I'd drop a turret for an extra Nos. I've taken the upper hand against a Wolf in a friendly fight once using two Nosses and a couple of 75mm II and an MWD (jamesw style).

Do you find this setup can close quick enough on enemies? foundf that to use blasters well, you really need to stick a MWD onto the Ishkur

75mm are more versatile and you will be able to keep hitting whether your opponent is long range or close range. They also allow you to fit antimatter and have the same range as your nos, which is just outside blaster range. Ion Blasters are riskier to fit but do a LOT more damage, a trade off which I think is worth it, others don't.

I scrapped the MWD for a AB and fit 125s over 75mm.
Why? MWD speed is crap, and with a web, you loose any real advantage you had with 75mm gats.
don't take on a cruiser with an ishkur tho. "Speak quietly and carry a big torpedo."

Apart from caracals with heavy launchers, they go down easily enough

Today is my first attempt using the ishkur, and I killed a Ferox and a Vigilant (faction Cruiser).. so you can certainly go against em. Of course, nothing is for certain, depends of setups and skills...
Nice ship :)

Oh yeah.. I just missed scrambling a caracal with a AB setup (was in complex just before), but would've had him with MWD...
Shame

Ok I tested the 75MM and was surprised, I really like the setup. Further more suprised by the tank provided by the 200MM T2 plate. :)
Oh and you can kill cruisers with the ishkur quite easily, providing they dont do explosive damage...

The tank must be pretty good as I forgot I was flagged and warped to stargate. Then my GF started talking to me, and it took me a few seconds to realise the sentry fire.... but still managed to warp back out with 97% structure left

Haven't really used an ishkur before... but as a suggestion
2x 75mm gatling railgun II 2x small nos
1mn ab 20km disruptor (?) weapon disruptor
t2 small rep 200mm tungsten mapc
No idea if it fits but that would work pretty well I would have thought. Maybe not so well against interceptors but against just about anything else it might do ok. Somebody test it out tell us how they went?

Main problem is that a 20km is a big cap sucker for a frig and your nos need to be within 5,500m so you might as well save the CPU and cap (and scramble for more points) by using a 7.5km scrambler. Tracking disruptor is useful, but I'd fit a web so anyhting you do get within nos/gun range stays there. Just my thoughts
