I wonder if mack is going to rant when the ore thief flag goes into effect?
Yeah, probably, as most people won't have the means to kill the ore thief.

I think a great more grief will come from when looters from empire wars end up getting shot as a result of the patch

1) Place can near gate with something reasonably valuable in it (like 5 megacyte)
2) Sit there with boosted gankageddon.
3) Wait for someone to take can.
4) Kill.
5) Create new can, GOTO 1.

1) Make Noob alt.
2) Move Noob alt to said system
3) Move Noob alts clone to said system
4) Fit Noob Ship with Nanofiber
5) Aproach can with Noob Ship
6) Align to warpable object in the direction of the can
7) Keep going until in opening range of can
8) Grab loot then immediatly Warp to said object
9) Wait for another can then go to step 5
10) If you die go back to step 2

Dont forget to train the skills needed to use a nanofiber
