HI all,
I ran the Amarr epic arc 3 months ago in my Raven Navy Issue, but have since moved on to T2 guns in a Machariel. I sold my old raven but now I'm wondering if I should buy it back due to the heavy tracking disruption in the Arc. Since I last ran it in a cruise missile boat, I don't remember how bad the tracking disruption actually gets.
Can anyone who's done the chain recently give me some guidance? Is it doable in a Machariel with relative ease or will I be better off fitting a new RNI (I'm planning on re-running the Arc post Odyssey).
Money isn't really a factor, I'm just doing it for the standings/fun.
Thanks in advance!

Machariel works perfectly fine if you fit it with 1400s and an MJD, all you have to do is jump outside their TD range and keep them far away. I did it this way and it worked fine. You dont really need a tank more than a T2 large shield booster. In fact my Mach was entirely T2 fitted, nothing special :-) |

I've did the arc with a buddy a month ago, and yes, the tracking disruption can be a pain in some missions.
However, I think it should be easily doable with arties and MJD. |

I didn't know this new euphemism...
That being said, Vargur with ACs did it thus I reckon Machariel shouln't be worse. |

Cruise golem/CNR after the 4th would be a good choice, or a snipe turret fit. Cruise's slow cycle time will kill you after using ACs though |

Armor tanked Loki works brilliantly for it, from a tank standpoint. You can do almost all of it with a single MAR II and a thermic hardener, though I tossed on an EANM for some of the more difficult missions.

If you plan on doing it with one pilot i'd go missile to avoid the TD because it's annoying and it makes the missions take a lot longer. A lot of the TD ships are battleships so theres no quick way to pop them. If you have multiple pilots i'd go turret and broadcast the TD ships first and have a missile ship warp in first to get the initial TD aggro. |

Thanks guys. Just wanted to follow up - I decided to go the CNR route, and I have to say I'm glad I did.
Just completed the Arc with the following fit:
8x CML II (Moljnar Fury)
Gist X XL SB Pith A Shield Boost Amp Pith A EM Ward Pith A Therm Diss Pith A Adaptive Invul Republic Fleet TP Republic Fleet TP
CN BCU x4 Nano Internal II (fitting means you cant' fit anything else)
Rigor II x2 Flare II x1
I had originally fit just a regular XL SB, an afterburner and a cap recharger in place of the adapative invul, but some of the missions put out so much DPS they nearly broke my tank so I upped it.
I have to say, the Arc seems to put out way more DPS than the last time I tried it, but maybe that's because they slightly nerfed the EHP of the Raven (or maybe my fit sucks)? Either way, don't underestimate the DPS of the spawns if you try it solo!
Fly safe.
