I know someone who could tell you a pretty sweet story from when few ppl had cruisers involving a blackbird taking down two moas.

Talk to anyone in M3G4, they'll tell you about one there corp mates stealing items from them. What a laugh. And now they are *****ing about it, which is even funnier. Pirates = Thieves. Or Guns for hire. But in this game it means thieves. I don't see M0o or "the gang" ****ing and moaning about how one of there corp mates taking items. Maybe they are the only real pirate element out there in space anymore.

... i don't get why someone would eject when self destructing is so much more efficient... you don't leave any loot behind that way.

I ran across some random pirate trying to blockade a gate in Molden Heath once, I think it was Gelfiven or Altar. Anyway he's camped out real close to the gate and when I warped in the gate was between us. So he locks on and opens fire. Of course, he hit the gate instead.
I love sentry guns.
Didn't catch his name because I was laughing too hard and the AP was still on.
Another time, posix caught me at the Otalieto gate in Aunenen in my hoarder. He was in a Blackbird so of course he strips off my shields and half my armor in nothing flat and he's got me webbed and scrambled. So he opens a convo and wants a toll or he'll kill my ship. Normally I'd have told him to take the ship and cram it, but I had a big load of minerals for my factories. So I stall a few seconds and ask how much he wants and watch the range-to-gate counting slowly down. He wants a mill, so I stall a few more seconds and ask if I can make a deal for less. And the range clicks down to 11km and the lovely "Jump" option appears on the menu. He opens fire again, realizing that I'm going to get away from him.
I pop out the other side of the gate with 3.1% structure and him right behind me and believe you me I had the menu up with a planet ready to warp to before I finished entering space. I've never seen an indy get into warp so fast before, he never even locked me. So I spent the next half hour taunting him for not being able to knock down a hoarder.
I felt obligated to increase his bounty. ;)

Edited by: Yurito on 08/08/2003 10:14:15 haha! today... i got killed by Merlin (the player, not the ship... in a MOA) ... nice recruiting job, Vegeta! but i wanted to congratulate him in a private convo and he rejected... oh well :P next time i'll be prepared and won't fly an empty indy... pssst... camp on the other side of the gate! got shredded to pieces, but my pod's always alive! that's so weird that i've never been podded in so many situations :) i even flew around EVE in a pod... just a pod! then again, being podded ain't good... space is soooooooooooooo cold :\ O_o |

...this one time, at n00b camp...
there's gonna be a lot of anti-pirate gloating here i bet, so to balance that... i was in beta but didn't get to do much PvP there. Shortly after release, a group of us went out looking for a certain jerk, but we found a different jerk instead ,-): Tank CEO.
Well, what the hell. After discovering what we all now know - that unless you can cover every single bleedin' gate, station, moon, planet, and rock field with several pilots each, chasing someone down is damn near impossible - we decided to make a few more passes before giving up in disgust.
I went to go check a station, with the intention of docking to see if he was inside.
Instead i see him approaching the station, not yet in dock range - i start the lock process and wonder why he hasn't fired yet -
now, mind you, this is a Minmatar fleet factory station (or whatever the exact name of the NPC corp is). My min fleet standing is high, my primary agents are all from min fleet, i AM minmatar (in my new Stabber), and this dude's got a bounty on his head.
Of course i open fire.
Of course the sentry ones tear me a new one.
After i've clearly invoked the wrath of the sentries, Tank opens up too. I try to warp away in the direction i'm already facing, some gate i believe.
Of course i hang in Warp Drive Active for a good 30-45 seconds, just watching my stabber get pounded into dust (and no longer even returning fire).
Finally i warp! The stabber starts to move!
A pod arrives at the gate.
Oh look, it's me.
I still have the email generated by the system:
"Parties Involved in Your Ship's Destruction: Tank CEO Minmatar Fleet"

You are in a maze of twisty little asteroids, all alike. |

Alright so I had been camping the B-VIP9 gate in Egbinger all day charging 300k to cruisers/indies and 200k (often free) for frigates. Was a boring day no reason to blockade that gate but hey one of my corp mates was out there so it was kind of fun.
Towards the end of the day I docked and got myself some dinner. I came back to my computer once to check a skill and I recognized a name on local. Name will be withheld to protect to foolishness. Anyway it was someone I had talked with a bunch on the forums. They asked what M3G4 was doing out this way and I said nothing. They insisted I must be blockading something and I said I wasn't. Anyway I heard the ping of the microwave and went to the kitchen and had a bowl of soup came back in like 8-10 minutes to see the person had paged me asking what my toll was. I said 300k. It was sent to my account fairly quickly. I laughed as I was still sitting in a station at the time. I quickly undocked and warped to the gate and a minute later the person came by happy to not being fired on. I love easy money. Only toll I got all day and I wasn't at the jumpgate. Cro out!

My pirate corporation actually sells subscriptions (for game isk) to our archive of over 100 pirating stories, most of which are in the form of chatlogs, many with commentary.
Subscriptions are just 500k isk/month.
You can see samples, as well as instructions for subscribing, here:
