You know what would be nice.
Droids, have a droid or two, just as or more exspnsvie than ships and has maitnace cost as well.
You would have to supply them with a ship, orders to do stuff, like pick up item in so and so station in so and so solar system. Then bring item back to the desired station.
Now you can send a droid to go pick stuff up for you...
And what ever esle thing you can think of them to do...

and oh, please comment what other things droids can do for you...I would not mind having a few droids picking up stuff for me esp when I do regional buys on Minnerals

You could always just set up a courier mission. If you make them worthwhile people will do them.

you be very suprise on how many people do regional buys on alll kinds of stuff. Mainly minerals... I see Regional buys allll the time on minerals and I hate taking the time on picking up alll them darn minerals. A little help would be great. And the introduction of droids would be nice.
I just did a regional buy on 350k +++ on Tri minnerals and it took most of the afternoon on getting them... And I could have been doing somthing more worth wild on time...
And Carrier mission? That should only be handle by humans, Not droids. Then what would the carrier mission be usefull for? Droids and carrier missions Equals a bad devaule of ISK...

you could do a regional buy order on minerals with a minimum quantity set, that way you don't have to run about picking up bits and pieces. If you're doing trit, just set it to like 10,000, then at least you won't have to travel to a station for less than 10k worth.

That is a great tip! thank you... But I already do it. I hate the idea of picking up at 30 or more stations. I just did another 500k run on tri and 100k Mex... And its kinda hard to give a 10k pluse on Meg...

The game already offers courier missions to accomplish the task of transporting products, minerals, etc. from one location to another. This is a job players can perform, they need only be informed and paid fairly.
To have your droids perform the task would eliminate the need for couriers and cause the loss of thousands of jobs throughout the universe.

this has nothing to do with currier missions.
I have just spent most of the after noon and partical of the night in picking up 100k Iso gen. And droid would be very helpfull...
Having droid picking up stuff would be very very usefull... My ornginal idea is, to have a droid, picking up stuff for its controler.
The person gotta supply the droid with a ship, pay an upkeep on the droid and they would be ever ready... Also, the droid would be vasly exspensive, suggest the price of mid to high lvl ships...
And that would not take over currier mission.

Use a courier mission. All you are asking for is NPC no brain pilots to do your courier missions for you.
I would say sure with your idea. BUT the droid piloted ships should be neutral to all and fair game to anybody who wants to shoot one down. Or in other words sitting ducks compared to an intelligent pilot (courier)

guess you miss the point... Oh well... But no I am not intrsed in getting rid of curruier missions, but just needing time to do other stuff rather picking up minnerals all the time.
You did make one point tho, and its noted very well, about brainless poits, DRONEs... Somone can shoot one down with ease, True, but as anything in life we all take risk.
Drones would only be picking up stuff...
Curuier mission would be still be there b/c peps would rather have a brain behind the wheel than a drone... and some would rather have drones...
