The last time I checked amazon's online game list, which was a bit less then a month ago, eve was 30 something on the list. I've been looking everyday now since the price drop and its up to 16. I'm glad that more people are buying it, hopefully our playerbase will grow now. Too bad eve-i.com's server statistics chart doesn't seem to be fully working, so I can't check if our average is growing. Has anyone else noticed that? Anyway, here's the link to check out the list. (note that this list only for online games) clickity click ___________________________________

Okay! I just realized that the server statistics on eve-i.com were fixed. What bad timing i had on this post lol. It's been down for like a week so I didn't bother to check before the post Anyway, it seems they tweaked it a bit, check it out ___________________________________

Well, it might go a long way to getting subscribers in the southern hemisphere if they actually launched the game here in Australia. My local game store bought 1 (yes one) copy, and only because I told them to get it. Not much chance of it being successful down here if they don't do a bit of advertising/launch/anything. ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Hm, well maybe CCP is taking all this in steps? First there was a price drop in the US. We get a bit more subscribers. Then there'll be a price drop elsewhere, more subscriber, and elsewhere, more subscribers, etc. over a long course of time. We'll get 'down there' soon ___________________________________

New Zealand here, and I've grown accustomed to inlcluding the "delivery from overseas" cost into any purchase of non-mainstream games. ________________________________________________

it's 19.99 now on amazon this is a great move, i for one bought another copy, it was insane to charge 60 bucks and 12 every other month , hopefully a lot of newbies are going to join, us old gamers can make some money again

Hm, anyone who has an amazon account go give a 5 star rating to EVE (even though you might think its 1 star ) Maybe that'll help ___________________________________

I'm very new (got it 2pm today). In Australia it is impossible to find, but at http://www.gameswarehouse.com.au/ it is for sale, look on the right area and you see the Top 10 Sellers, EVE Online is number 7. So thats pretty good. I got the last box from the shipment now its on back order =) (and for all you aussies it cost me $79.95+$9.00 next day shipping so it was a bargin)

Thats the big problem with the game atm, the player base rarely reachs 6000, only we start hitting higher levels the game will become more fun for us all. Just been on Amazon to give my 5 star. I know theres a lot of work to be done, but EVE's getting there, in small steps sure, but its getting there.

Sorry to say it but I ordered my game from Game.co.uk and got it sent to me, and it was cheaper than the retail price here. Even with the shipping cost. Went to Amazon and gave it 5 stars, I also said no to the "did this review help you" to all the negative reviews.
Considering the lack of press the game got here, I am pretty surprised at the amount of aussies in the game.

Around my area the game's been flying off the shelves. A lot of stores are having fun trying to keep a stock apparently. My buddies and I were lucky to find a pile at once place, and when we went to get another guy a copy it the rest were gone. Good to see.

When I visit a game store and I see the Eve box stuck down low or in the corner of the shelf I typically move it to the very center of the shelf. Just doing my part to increase sales. :-)

Edited by: agrizla on 07/08/2003 00:44:31 Indeed she does. I was in the city centre today (Leicester) and not one shop selling PC games had it on the shelf. Game (who have it discounted on the web) said they'd have to order it in as they hadn't sold any since May and hence had returned all their stock. None of the other retailers had ever heard of it and nor was it on their stock system.
I was bored and wanted to see if the discount had made any difference OK?
Edit : Leicester is a small city in the UK (500,000 or so population).
