Just asking around, I got locked out with cyna/buzzard out of my home. Cyna and Buzzard have sadly been sitting on different sides of a connection (why would someone do that?!) Getting my homeconnection is no issue with backup-probers. Getting my Cyna back out of somewhere will be though.
As I'm currently at 30 mil SP and only got a clone to hold 32, I feel forced to make a rushed decision.
I expect a petition to take forever to get me out of there, if at all. Bright minds already reminded me that I have to fit a probe launcher on any ship. Real bright minds.
So question:
Should I risk the petition taking longer then the Odyssee update and just plain not use this toon until eventually the petition will be looked up, possibly denied and I have to selfdestruct my POD with ~37mil SP by now, being 5 mil over, or
can I SD right where I am and have chances to petition that loss due to the server out?
I'd be especially intrigued in an answer from a gm or ISD, cause even though cyna+pod are worth only some 600mil, it would still be a bitter loss happening to such a crash.
Some clearificaion on how those matters are handled would be appreciated.
That serverout really was annyoing, got to reinforce POCOs all over again -.- |

If you are in a C1-C3 system and bookmarked the static b4 DT/server loss. A new static spawns in the exact same location.
C4 or higher = hope the locals are friendly. |

A toon has to make money somehow and working the Grav sites in your static is as good as any.
Someday I hope to be able to fly those bling T3's but that is still a little way off.

You are out of luck buddy. If I were you I would self-destruct asap to avoid any skill losses.
Also, CCP won't get you out of a wh just because you don't have probe. It's just normal game mechanics. |

Well, I had my alt scan my C2's static to find a HS route, when i entered the static and launched my probes, i proceeded to warp to a celestial, as soon as that happened, TQ got brought down. I petitioned under Gameplay < Exploration.

Had a neighboring C2 with some online residents. Tried to engage them in some civil conversation, as me and my alts often do, was ignored initially, until they started yelling expletives into the void. Deeply offended by their lack of sociability I figured I'd leave an SB in there to carry out a little harassment. Swapped out the bomb launcher for probes (Thank ****, I usually don't bother) just-in-case. Sure enough, jumped through and down went the servers.
Scanned my way out later, 62 jumps home with 30-odd through nullsec and my alt she was safe n' sound. A bit of lost time and effort, but no big deal.
